Builders as deployable as Offensive Landscapers in search of random gem rewards.

We've seen the villages with overgrowth. Deploy your troops. Deploy your builders to clear bushes and trees. You are limited to builders not being currently used in a upgrade in your own village. The same time limit applies, 3 minutes maximum for all deployed troops on enemy soil. Same removal time requirements per bush, tree, etc. Random gem rewards for each bush and tree cleared. Bushes and trees not cleared before the time runs out, nothing happens. No reward and the bush or tree remains in-place. Builders are susceptible to enemy fire. They can be killed. They cannot kill, only clear the overgrowth.

Option one they are just taken down for that battle, to be renewed upon your return to your village.

Option two is perma-death for your builder lost in combat. You have to buy a new one with gems if you want it back. Sales rate for replacements apply based on which one you are replacing. I.e. The fifth, fourth, third, second or your first one. Gems are used to fund the game. Players can risk their investment to undermine this game mechanic. Poor tactics will result in the loss of builders.

Which option do you like best?

So you are ok with people taking your gems?
Btw, use the search function before posting your ideas. This topic is very common.

I think this is an interesting idea. He doesn't suggest raiding gems already in place, but rather having the builders be able to participate in battle to clear bushes of the enemy, but are susceptible to death. I think to balance this out the builder should have 3x longer clear time on the enemy field, and if they die they are unable to build things for a certain amount of time OR have a battle participation cool-down of a few days.

PS: Just curious Ninja352 are you a mod or something? I don't mean to flame or anything, but just wondering. I see many of your posts here and they don't appear to be constructive or insightful posts - they merely state the rules so that is why I ask. Also this idea doesn't pop up when I tried different string of words such as "gem hunting" or "builder gem raid".

Although it isn't directly taking gems from bases like most ideas, it has been mentioned a few times that I have seen. As for the idea, I don't really like it and know some of the older members feel the same way.

Nope, not a mod. Just trying to guide the newer members in the right direction to help them further down the road. I give feedback a lot, but when I see over-posted topics I don't really feel the need to repeat the positive or negative feedback when the OP could have found all of the information by searching or reading the stickies. I state the rules because it is important for the members to know them I needed a little guidance when I first joined, it is a lot of information to take in.
