Ringus is the best foundation. My version is modified from the original, and it works wonders. Basically just has all the teslas in the core. I've tried a few other anti-hog designs, but always come back to ringus.

Ehh. Just have a funnel base

Probably because your defenses or traps are not good enough, if so max out your ground traps

People that spam mass LV6 giants need to learn to play. That's right, I'm talking to all the Chinese, Filipino and premmie TH9's out there. Everytime I see Pinoy flash up on my defense log I can guarantee it's 20 lv6 giants and 3 healers.

I always counted on anti hog bases doing a good job against GBarch... But eeh.. I am rarely attacked by hogs any more, I rather defend myself against those 10 GBarch attacks and then lose to the one hog attack as opposed to the other way around.

I recently switched from my anti-hog design to a new one. Feel free to check out my village ingame, I am still adjusting it, but it hasn't been wrecked by giants so far! Plus I managed to sneak in some anti hog elements, hehe.
You can do so much more with your village if you don't force yourself to keep that boring anti hog ring
