You have several routes that are possible at this point in your upgrade list. I'll list some below to see if any of these help.
1. Work on other spells
2. Upgrade balloons if you want to do balloonian strategy
3. Get a level 3 healer if you use them enough
4. Upgrade pekkas if you think you might wanna try GoWipe later on when you unlock golems
Pekkas at level 2 don't get an enormous boost (but they do get one), but level 3 are hard core when you get them in GoWipe. You can't upgrade them any further until th 10 (like gobs, wizards, and dragons)

Swipe your screen several times on the laboratory menu with your eyes shut and click randomly anywhere on the screen and whatever you click, upgrade if you can afford it! I do this when i have no clue what to upgrade. It leaves me with no regrets because i can't do anything about it.
