At the start just try to stay in gold 3-2, don't go above 1. It was horrible had to waste barbs to get back down.Originally Posted by CKSGixxer

Pretty simple stuff. Max loot going into TH8 and start on Lab and upgrading all new defensive structures at least up to the current TH7 level, and go from there. Max splash first after that.
If you're a maxed 7, you will have a much easier time during the transition period.
TH8 takes awhile, some structures can be upgraded as many as 3 times (and most double at least). The lab is also considerably longer to max than a full base in terms of structures.

I also heard that I should wait on upgrading the storages due to trying to protect those resources till I need more gold/elixir
I am already in gold 3 not staying there real easy but that is Bc I am farming
I came into th8 from a maxed th7, and I recomend you do the same. My upgrade priorities were wizard towers and mortars first and it worked pretty well for me. Also I think theres something cool and intimidating about the wizard towers once they are all purple. I would try to max them out before worrying about your point defenses.
Also get your barbs, archers, and wizards to level 5, they all benefit greatly from their level 5 upgrade.
If you're in more of a war clan, upgrade drags first. If you're mainly farming, arch then barbs.
Always have 1 tesla upgrading. I didn't and am now finishing my last 2 after having everything else done for a couple weeks. Think there's 3 tesla upgrades at TH8, and they all take a while...
