This. I have much experience with this, I get wrecked by TH9 all the time, I have tried different base designs and I am near maxed. So that's one reason why I'm off to TH9 now . I also agree, it's your game OP, play like you want .

excellent stuff to ponder. i just started another tesla upgrade, as i had serious tesla envy going on. i still have time to get the first 3 mil for a xbow. i'm working overtime to get enough elixir for the queen in 9 days. i think i can get there.

one of the best pieces of advice is probably the camp upgrades first. i think i can steal enough dark elixir in the gold 1 to crystal 3 range to continue with my king and queen upgrades.

up until now, i have not used many dark elixir troops in battle. i focused all my resources on my purple elixir armies. this has made me better at cheap elixir attacking styles for the best loot. it also made dark barracks upgrades easier, because i wasn't missing troops i use regularly.

in my humble opinion, attacking has a higher priority than defending for my style of play. since i'm fairly active on a daily basis, and have five builders, i try not to have goods on hand for the taking much of the time. plus i don't care much about trophies. i will worry about trophies when i've maxed out th10.
