We see a lot of complaints about spys during wars. People dont want to close their clan because they want new members, but they are worried about a spy joining....
What I propose is a "pending" status option.
Lets say you start a war. 5 minutes after match up, someone requests to join.
Right now you have 2 choices:
- reject because it might be a spy.
- Accept and take the risk.
What if you could tell this person why you are rejecting?
What if you could select a "pending" status, and tell the person why you have to wait, but are interested?
"We are mid war at this time, but interested in bringing you in after war. You status is set to pending."
It wouldnt block the person from requesting to join other clans. But it keeps their request in the leader/coleaders inbox perhaps?
Personally, as a leader, I really wish we could send some sort of note or check mark a box with the reason we reject someone. Which is another option to solve the communication issue.
Joepublic requests to join and you reject him, a box pops up with options for "reason rejected":
- We are mid war, please try back later.
- We are looking for higher lvl players.
- We are not accepting new members at this time.
This would allow communication, but prevent abusive behavior such as cussing out people or being rude when sending a reject message.
