Its upto you but getting it to lvl 5 is good so you dont have farm a lot for DE in TH lvl 8.Originally Posted by andrew1028
I got my barbarian king to level 5 at th7 without using lightning spells and it was tough. Back then it was worth it because the barbarian king hadn't been nerfed yet. With the nerf, he is a lot weaker especially at lower levels.. I think you should upgrade him just to get it out of the way.
It's fine to hit TH8. Maxing the drill is the best thing you can do to farm DE.
If you have idle builders on a maxed TH7, then go TH8.
My king was L2/3 when I goto TH8. But maxed to L10 at TH8, DE is easier to drill & farm than TH7.
