    Clan Army

Can anyone help a confused newbie?

I have four barracks, one level 9, two level seven and one level six, plus four camps, three level six and one level four.

All the barracks show as full, but when I go to make an attack I only see small numbers in my army, nothing like the numbers the barracks show they can house.

When training troops I don't understand the fraction shown, for example, 195/150. What does that mean?

If all four of the barracks are showing 190/190 full, why don't I have an army of 760 to fight with?

    Confused dot com.................

How did you make it this far without figuring this out? I am assuming you are TH7 which gives you 200 spaces in your army camp. Each troop requires a different amount of space. For example barbarians are 1, so you could have a max 200 barbs to attack with. Giants take 5 spaces, so all giants would be 40. Dragons take 20, etc. You mix and match a composition that gets the job done and will add up to 200. Make sense?

How did I make it this far without working it out? I've been trying to work it out for weeks.............. That's why I'm here now, to find out more about the game and how it works.

I'm aware that I've made plenty of newbie mistakes, now looking for a bit of guidance and support.

Assuming TH is Town Hall, I have level 8.

Looking at my current position, I have four full bases with an available attack force of 58 archers, 22 giants, 1 wall breaker and 1 dragon. I'm guessing the numbers on each of there profiles don't relate to space, so how do you know how much space they each need? Clearly I've missed something along the way.

If the opportunity to attack is based on a random selection from within a trophy related match, how do you know "what you need to get the job done", if you don't know what the job is?

I think I understand what you're asking, but correct me if I'm wrong. Each troop has a certain amount of time it takes to "Make". So how it works is you select a troop to make and a count down starts to make that troop. When the countdown ends it then goes to your army camps where it can then be used for an attack. The reason you can only use a certain number is because your troops are still being made. Also, the barracks have a limit on how many troops each can make. For example a lvl 7 Barracks can make troops to total a Housing Space of 50, whereas a lvl 10 Barracks can make 75. Even if your camps are full you can still have troops being made in the barracks, but they will be stopped from going into your camps because they are full. A good strategy is to start making troops even when your camps are full because they will start filling your (soon to be empty) camps while you search for, and find, a player that you attack. Hope I helped.

    and in addition:
You queue up troops to be trained in your barracks, those completed will go to your army camps.
Only troops in armycamps and CC can be taken to battle + heroes, not those q'd in your barracks.
You can q up more troops than your AC can hold, this is good for two reasons:
    1) training time and filling up of AC starts as soon as you go searching for a battle (you loose that training time if you wait too long to press next and quit battle instead)
    2) troop costs are deducted inmedeately and thus cannot be looted from you (it is a possibility to hide elix from attackers, as elix can flow back to your storages by cancelling the troops in your barracks)
