Well besides the point that experience level is a nearly useless stat a simpler solution is limit how many times a player can join a clan each week. Say a player can only join a clan after leaving one for 7 days.

I've been in 3 clans in about 5 months. If I left a clan I would not just jump into another one right away. Makes a person think before joining a clan.

What about players who hop between different clans to talk to friends, or to visit different clans in the same "family."

Also req n leave clans. They would lose customers.

If players couldn't join more than 3 times a week? Yea, they would lose members to donate to.

Then it's not a big deal either way. Don't leave a clan just to say hi to a friend in a different clan.

Only a few hoppers would leave the game. Any hard core paying players don't jump around that much. They wouldn't lose even .01% in revenue.

What's wrong with saying hi to a friend? I've had people come visit my clan to talk to me, why not let them in?

Personally I don't care about the hoppers. My clan rarely gets them. The OP suggested a solution to them and I provided an alternative suggestion.

They, like all software makers, make changes to improve the game. If enough people ask for a solution to clan hoppers this is one suggestion.

My suggestion would solve the issue. No one will quit the game because of it especially light of how unpopular the hero and hog changes were. If not enough people quit cause of those changes to make them back out the change, this is insignificant.
