during this week one gem boost on the mines, drills and collectors it really creates for a intense week of farming but for my defense is this a chance to upgrade my walls or defense?

Just keep one builder open and farm walls like crazy, and use the rest to upgrade your xbows and/or whatever else u can.

Same principal as always. Keep all builders busy and dump extra gold into walls. I would allocate builders to expensive upgrades as it is easier to gain gold from doing collector raids.
