Although from those strategies im inexperienced with gowipe and quite bad with bam and barch
I am a maxxed TH8 and I got up to crystal quickly using mass drags, but now I am maintaining my league by using balloonion. Try it out!
I feel your pain, I got stuck in crystal 2 as well. If resources aren't a problem then I'd go with hogs, dragons or balloons. Good luck!
Snipe TH's. I know ErikGuerrero619 from APOTHEOSIS (In game not irl) and he got to 3400+ and is still rising at TH8 using mass drags and minions to get 50% and snipe TH if possible.
