[HELP] Mid-TH7, I need a farming base that will actually keep my resources safe

I am getting really sick of going offline just to be greeted to losing 500k resources to some other TH7/8. I've tried pretty much every "good" TH7 layout (Mantis, Stingray, Pingfao, Pokeball) but none of them seem to do their job: protecting my resources well. I have all lvl 6/7 walls, max splash defenses, lvl 4 ADs, and am currently working on my point defenses/Teslas. Is there any base which will hold up and defend my resources successfully? Even though you mentioned it, I'd still recommend the mantis;it survived decently for me up to 1900 cups as a th7. However, at the end of the day, a th7 just doesn't have enough walls and defences to defend completely against well-upgraded th8s or th7s with a good attack strategy. I'd like to say it gets better at th8,but then th9s with their lvl6 giants pound your base into submission

First off, you can't lose 500k as a TH7 unless you let your collectors fill up. Also the best you can hope for as a TH7 is to just get a snipe shield. Put your TH on the outside and just go from there. Your base is gonna get owned by pretty much all TH8s so just keep your resources low and don't let those collectors fill up.

And when I say put it on the outside, put it all the way in the corner. Snipers usually ignore THs that are on the edge of the base therefore causing you to be attacked by a full army.

as a th7 you can be looted 250k. A th8 would have a 10% penalty so could raid 225k from your storages, so it would be about 450K if you have near full storages from TH8's, 500K if it was another TH7. That's not including mines/pumps which have a different cap system.

And yeah, as they said any TH8 will steamroll your base anyway (maxed or otherwise).

Putting TH off to the side hoping for snipes are your best bet. That, or just make sure to spend the majority of your loot. Have loot and you will be raided regardless, just name of the game .

Pretty sure he meant total, hence the OP (said 500K "resources" not per/resource) but....yeah.

Also don't see how he would be getting raided for 500K each unless he had full storages and didn't play for like a month. The fact that he's saying he's tired of going offline only to lose resources (and is asking how to protect them better) tells me he's logging with semi-full storages.
