Also today we already keep bottom 4 spots as low trophy opt out spots and we routinely kick/invite members like many other clans do. So any of your "negative" impact concerns already exist today in the game and are already exploited in the game today.

A side effect of a "full" white list, we would be warring more often for our clan. 1 war a week would be for "lowest" 10 members, 1 war a week for "highest" 10 members and 1 war a week for entire clan. Why? Because it would be fun to mix it up and try different things out.

Conclusion: If SuperCell actually listens to the community they will implement some sort of whitelist, or opt in/out functionality. I should say in the past SuperCell has been good about listening and/or at least responding to posted ideas/features. It is odd they've been so quite about this one. I've had real life friends and family already quit over clan wars, they want to be in our clan but they don't want to war and leaving/rejoining becomes a hassle for them, I think this is sad side effect of how clan wars exists today.

I too know more than a few people that have quit COC because of the way war changed. it. I personally like the way war changed it so guys like me they will keep. But if they add the feature they will keep that other group too.

Just like we have a separate "war base", let's have a "war clan castle"... Let normal clan castle be used for pvp that everyone can donate but cannot be used for war..

That looks like a great idea, but people could abuse of it.
Imagine you have a clan, with 50 people. 40 click the opt out button. Result, you have a full clan, but only 10 clashers are doing the war.

I like the the idea but after much thought, feel the best method is like this: a button on the clan castle to opt in/out of war. Same as xbows and infernos do air/ground or single/multi the CC is in/out war. If someone wont be available or doesnt want to war, they opt out. As a leader it sucks kicking people that wont do raids even if a simple invite will bring them back. If someone opts out they are just removed from the war and can opt back in at their will. I too have seen some friends quit because they dont enjoy war and get annoyed being kicked out of the clan every 2 days so the clan can start a war.

Not sure how that is abusing anything. Imagine the 10 people leave the clan and start a new one for 40k and clan war. Then they have 10 people clan warring.

In the interest of moving this thread back to page one in front of all of the other useless threads on the same topic that have been created in the last 24 hours . . .

By offering a separate war castle to donate to and prevent the exploit of higher level members feeding lower members to tilt war results you would effectively divide the clan so that only the ones that want to would be playing the wars. This would reduce wars a sort of "mini-game" which SC has already ruled out.

Terrible idea. I run a clan which wars about 2-3x per week on a regular schedule. We have accumulated 33 wins. We have done this because in many cases, the other clans are poorly run and have members who do not participate. If your clan is poorly run and has low participation, we deserve to beat you.

This is a handicap for people who run weak war clans. Be happy when you find the occasional clan that's actually worse than you. Until then, leave us well-run clans alone. We deserve the win because we are better.

Thumbs Up Please, please, please do this

Often we have members who will be gone for the duration of the war without any Internet service or access to COC. To be able to opt them out of the clan without kicking them would be of great help.

Understanding that this can be abused as well, there is a simple solution... put limitations on the number of people who can opt out/be opted out for each war. Ideas:

    1) Pick an arbitrary fair limit, say allow opt out of 5 people per war
    2) Allow clan leader to chose who opts out within the current war exclusion pattern. Say a clan has 44 members, 4 will be excluded from an impending war anyway. Allow clan leaders to select the four to be excluded.

A simple way to do this is on the main clan page (blue "i" within clan chat) with the icons for war eligibility. Leaders can toggle them on/off instead of (or in addition to) the current algorithm that chooses war-eligible members automatically.
