Why surround TH with hidden telsas bombs traps etc on farming bases.

I dont understand why some people with farming bases surround their TH with bombs, telsas traps etc. Its a waste of defenses because TH will still get destroyed, defender will have to pay to fix the bombs and if they decide to continue attacking rest of base they dont have to worry about the defenses that were around the TH. If i attack a farm base and i destroy TH easily i end battle but if they have it surrounded by hidden defenses i will continue to attack rest of base as pay back! Be nice to know anyone's thoughts on this.

But if they are farming isn't that the whole point. Snipe the TH then end battle so resources dont get touched. With my farming base 90% of the time they destroy my TH and thats it. Because I have it out in the open so they dont get annoyed and go in for the kill.

I imagine most of the people who do it are ignorant to the bigger picture of what a farming base is trying to accomplish.

Some people do it to discourage their attackers from continuing their attack, since many troops will be killed by the teslas while they're focusing on the townhall. Sometimes, it's enough to take out enough of your army, making it impossible for you to continue your attack.

Well I do it sometimes because th close to edge baits all no obs and that way they either snipe the th and kill it but needed to use so many troops that they can't get more off me then maybe 10% of my resources or they loose because their troops were too low level, though I never put big bombs close to th, only tops thunnels with spring traps to get rid of giants and small bombs to kill archers and one air bomb for minions

I rather have the shield myself but I can see some shreds of logic; once a player has started snipping, they have committed to the raid. I think the idea is to make them expend so much troops taking out the TH that they are no longer a threat to the rest of the base.

I don't put teslas around my TH, I just put a mortar in the back...
