What should I spend my gems on?

I found a $25 iTunes gift card at camp and decided to buy gems with it. I bought a 4th builder, and now I have 1,530 gems remaining. What should I spend them on? I have like 4 days left for my town hall to be level 8, I could speed up some random buildings, upgrade my barb king a bit, ect. I don't really want to get the 5th builder, because I always get like $50 iTunes money every holiday and have nothing to spend it on, so I can just buy gems :P

Assuming that you're able to keep all 4 huts working nearly all the time, a 5th hut is good. IF you don't play too much and aren't able to farm enough to keep that 4th hut working most of the time and don't see yourself being able to get the 4th working much in the near future, boosting barracks for when you do play is the better option since having 2 idle huts is a waste

Yeah, but you should be online regularely during the boosting time, so you won't waste the boost if people attack you for all the uncollected loot in the mines/collectors.

I think I will spend 650 on speeding up my town hall? Is that worth it? Because I get a lot of gem boxes and can just boost my barracks and pumps whenever pretty much :P

Unless you are maxed on gold and elixir don't spent gems on your TH. I agree with most of the people on here, spend it boosting barracks and mass archers to raid collectors.

It is HIGHLY recomended not to finish buildings, researching, or troops, you can wait for your town hall. If you play enough and are on for two hour periods, boost your barracks instead of you mines and pumps and here's why: http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...ms-Effectively If you gem your barracks with some farming troops, you will be much more succesful with using your gems. You can earn way more than boosting your mines and pumps, and use smaller amounts of gems. Just don't boost you pumps.
