It would be nice if the leader/co-leaders could choose which clan members go to war. We have had issues with people not attacking due to they really don't play the game. they join a clan and are not active. we need to be able to only take the ones we know are going to attack. Also if someone in your clan has something going on.... death in the family, Vacation whatever and they let you know they will not be participating in the war we could leave them out so it will not hurt our chances.
I agree. Inactive people can be kicked. Fair enough. But if people are on holidays (and quite frankly I'd leave the phone behind too!) its hard to kick them from the clan - even temporarily.Originally Posted by judaskiss12

Solution to this : Start by kicking people that don't fit your preference (i.e age,maturity level, level of activity)
Next, don't accept anyone like the people you kicked above.
Then, implement a steady war schedule among yourselves.
Finally, find a way to be able to communicate with your clan-mates OUTSIDE of clash of clans chat.
An opt out/in would be good. My clans are even active and we have trouble getting everyone to attack. Only two a week, but sometimes people can't make them. Getting a war were EVERYONE can make it can be hard.
One thing I have started to do, 24hrs before war starts I send a clan mail asking people to let an elder know if they can't make the war. I then kick these people with an invite back before I start the war. It has been working well enough. Still not perfect, but better.

Threaten to kick them and if they do nothing, it means they don't care and they shouldn't be in your clan.
You should do what my clan mate did, he knows he going to camp for a week, so before he left he dropped his trophy count to the bottom of our clan, so even when we go to war, he usually left out because of his low trophy.
We set up another clan for members to go to when they know they will not be able to war. Also those we know are busy get kicked out right before war search is started and reinvited back once war is declared.
Decided when clan wars first started that we wouldn't let wars destroy our clan and so far it hasnt.
Clan wars kind of suck. Spend way more to attack someone than you can make. About twice as much actually. It's one big loot suck.
The deal was supposed to be able to have fun with this new aspect and make "extra" (bonus) loot. Your castle can't hold much and you spend a ton on troops. Fail system.
That's why there are so many people not attacking. Especially the casuals. They could and would attack if only doing so didn't set them back on loot for upgrades.
Simply stupid.
What we do in our clan, for members who don't like wars, we simply kick them before search and then invite them right away.

As a clan leader it can be a nightmare trying to balance keeping members who have been with you a long time, but just don't attack in war, those that are on vacation and also keep clan numbers up.
