I mass upgrade everything. Usually start with all of my splash defense first.

currently 4 tesla all to lvl 8 and 1 archer tower to lvl 10. don't see a problem. get the job done faster.

I use 4 but I start the 5th working when a builder is a day away from finishing an upgrade. That way I can do walls and still have all 5 builders working most of the time

I'm happy if I can keep 2/5 builders busy. Any gold upgrade is 6m+, coc would have to become a full time job to keep 5/5.
I have 3 builder huts so I tend to only use two for upgrades and keep 1 for grinding my walls or essentials that I might need. Most of my upgrades at this point are taking 3-4 days (yes I'm aware that pales in comparison to some other upgrades), so I usually just have two running. But as soon as I get my fourth builder hut, which is mighty soon, I will be rapidly upgrading whatever I can get my hands on

Ill upgrade as many D as i can but i do try to spread them out across my base. I dont want the whole left side of my base upgrading at one time. I hate a Zzzzzzz builder.
Been upgrading 5 at a time since I finished all my elixir upgrades.
I sometimes even upgrade all defenses of the same type at the same time and then keep the other builder free for walls so I am not worth attacking.
