I usually upgrade the most expensive building I can afford regardless if it's defense or not.Originally Posted by Dpino

I try to keep 2 builders going (with a 3rd for walls), though that doesn't happen during the camping trips I like to take, during which I live off collectors.

I just finished my top defense priorities (Wizard Towers, Air Defenses, Mortars) and I'm grinding my level 7 walls. After that, I'll just upgrade any defense I have the gold for. And IMO, having 3 wiz towers and 2 air defenses down at once is better than having them down one at a time. No point dragging it out, get it done one shot.
Usually try to have all 5 builders working on defenses. If a builder frees up and I know i won't farm enough gold for the next defense upgrade, then i just dump it on an elixir-based upgrade. Always gotta keep them busy

I'll upgrade as many as I can at the same time. Right now I have two wizard towers being upgraded, I just couldn't afford the third. It sucks for a few days, however it's still a huge time saver vs doing them one at a time.
Usually two but I been reading around a lot and read some Interesting thoughts about upgrading all of the same type of defense at once so I upgraded all of my mortors at once and yeah I was at a disadvantage for that time period but I feel like it was much more efficient doing it that way so instead of having 1 mortor down for over a week they were all down for 3 or 4 days and then back up and stronger. Also putting TH outside walls helps a lot when you do this you will get a lot of free shields especially if you are a higher trophy level because there are more people pushing looking for an easy couple trophies
