Thread: [TH9] Anti-Hog, hard to lure CC, farming design, (southern teaser-ish?)

    Ok first night and it didnt go down too well.

    got loonioned from the South. a TH10 lvl101 1856cups 72% and stole 248/322/1617
    Once they had reached the centre it was game over.

    Ive altered your design slightly just to give the two Airdefences on the outside wall more of a chance.
    It leaves a gap in the wall but the traps should cover this (i hope)
    I've also stuck two wizard towers in the pocket just above the south mortar.
    it might work, it might not but its worth a try.

    Christ, you don't even have th8 defenses let alone th9....WAY too early for you to even think about doing base defense reviews.

    So many premmie bases out there right now, makes the game much harder for ya then it needs to be....max your townhall before moving up kids, don't let this be you.

    what are you on about i don't have TH8 defenses. I only left the walls out and one more level of tesla :/
    and most of those pink walls are from my TH9 upgrade which i only just recently moved to. which is why some things aren't as upgraded as others.

    Mmmh yea, that doesn't look like it went too well. But not every base design is unbeatable. What did the guy use his lightning spells on?

    Also, I noticed that you seem to have altered the positions of the mini bombs. Where did the attacker come from? Maybe that is why his barbarians and archers did not get cleared out quickly enough.

    Ouch... yea there is not much we can do about GoWiPe as a TH9. I'm guessing he froze the two x-bows, which left the core extremely vulnerable.
    I'm not gonna worry too much about this loss. This is a farming design and if someone feels the need to use GoWiPe at ~1800 on a farming base then well... Good for him : )

    Attacks from the side either completely wreck the attacker or it results in ~three storages getting hit. It all depends on the kind of army used and where the giants decide to walk to.

    Please don't do that. My village is an anti-hog design. You just made a path for hog riders to completely wreck this design from the bottom, since there is now a path of defenses leading to the core. Balloons will now cause you even more trouble.
    You might as well remove the double giant bombs on the western side of the village. They won't ever catch any hog riders running southwards, since they are no longer encased in between two defensive buildings.

    That's rather unfair. If a base is being posted as a fait accompli ("hey guys this base is good, use this") then of course defense logs are mandatory. However, if a base idea is being posted for peer review prior to extensive field testing then it is entirely valid to seek input prior to posting detailed defense logs. Hence the title of the subforum.

    We don't want an atmosphere where people feel afraid to post base ideas for comment because of this kind of attitude.

    Im not really fussed about having it be anti-hog at the moment I never get hogged. With the Air defence being so exposed this is a loonion heaven as they can clear virtually the whole bottom half leaving the king and queen to get to the center and take all the loot. (stages shown below)



    On another note though it did hold up against a giant healer combo with the attacker getting 50% but no TH.
    still like the layout though.

    One more input for your base Darkness4910.

    There any chance to make a better placement of storages (especially for the dark elixir, and the two southern storages) against 4 or 5 lightning spells spammer?

    Im going to try your base now. I've made some changes that can break a bit the antihog purpose, but i am in a range where i dont receive hog attacks. The mortars are more outside por the barch attacks and the king and the queen are in the core.

    Darkness, I was saying that the base IS a success...I got 30 free trophies and they only got one third of loot....the giant healer army got crushed.

    It successfully defended against balloonian last night. Tried to come from the top...the centralized xbows and air defence crushed his balloonsnas they went around the ring

    I think he was referring to the air defences. They look like they are level 4. Regardless of base layout, lev 6 balloons are gonna wreck bases with lev 4 air defence. Getting them up to at least level 6 will help with air attacks
