I just upgraded to town hall 8 a week back. I'm sitting on 2 million elixir right now! What shaould i upgrade first? Pekka or DE Drill to lvl 3? I also heard that Supercell will most likely be giving a one gem boost on their anniversary! So i want all 4 barracks during that! So? What should i upgrade? Thanks!!
I'd base it on what you value more. do you use the pekka often enough to warrant the upgrade or can it wait and you use a cheaper and still successful army whilst having more DE available by the hour. Im at th9 and i havent got one barracks up to lvl10 because i just dont have the desire for the pekka at the moment. So i would personally choose the DE drill.

Boyze is pretty much right, base it on what you want to use: pekkas or dark troops?
If it were me, I would go for the DE drill upgrade.

From the sounds of it you sound like you want the Pekka more then the DE so that seems like your decision right there. I dont use either the dragon or the pekka at the moment because i just dont think their cost effective and if your going into a battle in a war using a pekka you need to weigh up the return for what your spending out on.
what loot bonus are you getting around? (rhetorical question)
Once youve built your army how much is that costing plus spells? you dont want to be building a 100k army plus 75k+ on spells for a 195k loot bonus (i hope your following me here) From what ive gathered if you get a single star you get the loot bonus for that attack providing you win the war so you could build a much cheaper army (spells inc) and get a decent return from the two combined loot bonus'

Well i dont really care about the loot during war. I just care about the win! My drag army costs around 350k elixir and i getaround 200k win bonus. So its a loss, but i really dont mind. However an army with pekkas will consist of giants and wizards which will be much cheaperOriginally Posted by boyze121

Go for the level 10 barracks. You need to open up more options and upgrade barracks and dark barrack so you can GoWipe.
I did not get a dark elixir drill until TH9. In fact, my AQ was ~level 5 before I made one. Dark elixir drills are a waste of time until you have several very high level ones.
I highly value dark elixir as I focused excessively on my heros but never went the route of the drill
