I domt need to buy gems, I'm smart and Im a good player, it's only a matter of principle for me. But please keep on buying gems, players like you support the game for the rest of us.

Anyway, like others had commented on your earlier reply, there is no direct correlation between strength or smarts when it comes to buying gems, at least not in all cases, not even most cases.

Some cases, yes. But definitely not the majority. It's pretty rude of you to comment as such, particularly knowing that the individuals paying for gems are funding the game for you. Pretty douchy thing for you to say with such a sarcastic tone.

I also don't ever buy gems, but I have zero issues with those that do, nor do I think they are any less strong or less smart. I think they may be impatient, that's about it

So I was wondering how many gems you recharge per week? What do you use them for?

Here is my story

I started playing a few months ago between May and July. A friend of mine showed me the game, he is Town Hall Level 10 now. I looked how he played day after day. At that time he was upgrading his town hall to level 9, so I wondered about the game a lot. I always saw him getting gems he kept his gem average between 10k - 14k. So I said, why not play this game? He showed me the basics and I started playing on my iPad.

After a few days I got really addicted to this game and I wonder what gems where (I was a newbie) so I took my credit card and inserted it on iTunes. I recharged 500 gems at first, I learned that you could boost everything and get resources with gems, so by the first month I was recharging constantly 500 gems every week. I did this until about Town Hall Level 5, where I started seeing that things took longer to upgrade and gems got used very fast. So I recharged $9.99 dollars which is 1200 gems every week, I maxed out my Town Hall level 6 and upgraded to level 7.

Now I recharge about $49.99 every two weeks which are 6500 gems. I handled to upgrade my walls and many defenses, and I use them to train my troops. I wonder how many gems do high level town halls recharge? What do you use them for?

That's impossible.

The game forces you to use gems in the tutorial.

I used gems for the third and fourth builder hut. I also used them for my BK. In general I gem to boost my barracks. In rare occasions to finish a building in case my gold/elixir storage is full. I'd say I pay like 9 - 18 €/month.

I only use gems for my barracks and occasionally my spell factory. I've gemmed on building and that was a storage as I wanted to farm and was out of room.

This sounds like a confession (: . I used to gem like 5000 gens a week, I was even a rushed townhall (skipped from th6 to 8). I now have stopped spending money on the game, I have now found the game more enjoyable. Once you stop gemming you find a new aspect of the game, farming. It is totally different when you don't have gems.Granted I do treat my self to a few gems every once in a while. It is still nice to be able to finish a few upgrades that you've been waiting forever on. I think the top players mainly spend their gems on troops and spells. I've heard that the normal for a gemming top player is around 2-400 dollars a week.

and yes, smart players don't need to buy gems, just the not so smart douchy ones need to.
