I'm not an 'expert'. However my base looked awfully familiar to yours. I would start by saying finish upgrading army camps, then focus on getting those level 5 troops. I say drop your trophies to silver 1 or gold 3. Search for collector bases and rich TH7 's that you can prey on. Ever since I got level 5 troops things got much easier. In terms of upgrades it should be your CC then your splash. I truly hope you the best and great loot. Good luck.
Even a semi-skilled barcher can take every drop of gold and elixir from this base.

Why not state it like that from the begining? Instead your 'advice' seemed more insulting than encouraging. Why not suggest a base for him to use then?
For th8 I wouldn't worry about protecting ur th so put it on the out side put ur cc right in the middle and protect ur resources as much as u can.. Upgrade wizard towers and mortars first..And don't use such an expensive army all i use is lvl 5 gobs and lvl 5 archers n I'm almost max th8 and in gold 3 and two..oh yeah I forgot to say I was rushed like u but u can catch up.. After u get lvl 5 arch n gobs u will be able to farm up n down between gold one and three.. Silver 1 i never find good loot

Sweetie, your base is super awesome, but maybe you should think about putting at least your gold storages behind a second layer of walls if it doesn't upset you too much.

Oh boy, another guy like me when I was a TH 8. Except I had lower def and walls. Here's what I did:
First of, I went to silver 1 and still farmed off of TH 6s to get level 5 troops. After a while I got level 5 troops. Then I batched in gold 3. Gold 3 is a great place to find rich TH 7s with barch. Just go for TH 7s and 8s. And splash is your main focus! Don't be like me, for a month I was working on walls to get them to level 7 and using my other builders for collectors. A month! After a while, I realized I needed to farm my WTs and Mortars. Look at me now, 2 WTs upgrading to max and full gold (don't worry, I have a shield) and am waiting for a builder free to burn this gold on walls and a cannon
