what are gift cards and how do we use 'em?

I have no idea about the gift cards, you can call me a noob in this matter, although i have been playing this game from quite long.
I have heard people say you can get gems with them for free...
Can someone pls elaborate what are these cards? How do we get them? And how to use?


Pls if u could give the complete detail about them i ll be greatful...

You can either get gift cards from the competitions organised by clash of clans, or you can get them from certain applications (go on youtube for that).
How to use a gift card? You need to redeem it:

Let's say you have a 7£ gift card (I am using £).

1. Hit the + button.
2. Click on the second offer (1200 gems - 6.99£).
3. At the price you have an arrow pointing down ˅, click on it.
4. Click on Redeem option.
5. Enter the code from your gift card and then hit Redeem.

If the code is valid and covers the offer you selected, you should be able to purchase the amount of gems you clicked on.

app ? no , though you can buy them from your local stores

Google (Google play gift cards) if you are using android , or Google (iTunes gift cards) if you are using apple devices
