Chris' th9 Gold Farming Guide (Bam)

To begin with ill start off with the essentials. The army composition and barrack queue. Keep in mind this is all about efficiency so most of this will be assuming you have no heroes or spells.

    Army Composition:

Varies depending on how much of each you used last raid, but it will end up in the area of:
    100 arch
    80 barbs
    20 minions

    Barrack Queue:
    Rack1: All barbs
    Rack2: 20 barbs rest arch
    Rack3: All arch
    Rack4: All arch
    Db1:10 minions
    Db2:10 minions
    Train time: About 15 minutes

Spell: Typically I make sure I have at least one lightning and rest rage(rarely needed)

Now to get into the nit and gritty aspects. First off, I farm two separate ways one is with boosting two barracks the other is no boosting at all. My gold per hour is pretty consistent at about 1mil/hour non boosted and 2mil/hour with 2 racks boosted. To begin with ill talk about what to do when boosting two racks because I find this the most effective.

    Boosted:
    Rack1:All barbs/4wbs (Boosted)
    Rack2: All arch/4wbs(Boosted)
    Rack3: All arch
    Rack4: All arch
    Db1: All minions
    Db2: All minions
    Train time- About 5 minutes

Make sure to always have at least 4 wbs with you.

    Spell: Same as non-boosted

How much loot you should look for:

When boosting I typically target 180k gold that is easily accessible (collectors) or 200k gold if it might be some work(storages). If you think you will have to use your heroes I would target about 300k gold.

Trophy range: I hang out in between 1650-1800. Once you get above 1800 the storages become a little tougher to get to with tier 1 troops.

    Selecting a base:

The core of this strategy is bullying the th8s/Premmies in this trophy range. After a base passes the loot requirements you must locate the key defenses. Ill break this down on a few bases later on. The key defenses are wizard towers and mortars. If you are going up against centralized lvl5 mortars(One shot lvl6 arch) and Wizard Towers next to each gold storage You are going to want to skip it.

    Attacking:

To begin with you must lure the cc. If it is unlureable then thats what you have your lightning spell for, but you should only use the lightning spell if the cc cannot be lured by barbs.
Next, You are going to do a thin line of barbs and a thin line of arch to clear out exterior buildings in the path of the gold storages.
Afterwards you are going to do a thicker line of barbs and archers in front of the storage. At this point all of the buildings should be cleared out in front of the gold storage and the storage should have lost some health, but at this point you will most likely be out of barbs and archers.
Lastly, Send in the minions!. Usually 10 per storage will do it. Sometimes less will be required if there are no ad in range. If you dont have enough minions to clear out a third or fourth storage thats what you have cc troops for .

    Attack Logs:
2 Hour 2 barrack Boost session-

    What to attack:

Why this base is vulnerable: Although it has centralized mortars their coverage does not overlap and one is currently upgrading. The Wiz towers are also underleveled along with the archer towers.

Attacking this base: Throw a barb in the top left to check if there are cc troops. Next, I went for the maxed out gold storages first because they contained the bulk of his loot. This was easily done With the previously mentioned method. Thin line barbs/arch to clear out exterior buildings, then a thicker line, then finish with a few minions.

End result: All three storages taken

    Base 2:

Why I attacked this base: Poor mortar coverage, wiz dont reach outside of walls, and lureable cc. Going into this raid i knew i would only be able to get three storages, but since there was 350k of storage loot available getting 3/4 of it is still a sizable raid.

Attacking this base: Barb at the top to lure out cc. Then I decided to target the storages at 12, 3, and 9 o clock. I chose to ignore the bottom storage because of the aqs unfavorable locations plus the health of the th would make it extremely difficult to get to. Then I just went with the usual thin barch then thick barch and finish with minions.

End result: Three storages taken(Needed a rage spell)

    What not to attack:

Why not: Although it has a solid amount of available loot fairly on the outside of their base there are a few complications.
    1. 4 isolated storages
    2. Overlapping mortars on 2/4 storages
    3. With the placement of the gold storage the archers would attack the storage while kissed up against walls while the barbs are hitting the walls.......end result: one shotted

    Bonus Collector Breakdown

    Base:

I found this base very interesting for a few reasons. First, with the graphic shown by these collectors i would expect 120k-150k gold and the rest in storages, but that was not the case. I was able to figure out that all 175k was in the collectors. Normally, 3 maxed level gold storages can hold 100k loot while visually showing no gold, so i was skeptical of this raid. Then I noticed the one under leveled gold storage. Since that storage was showing no gold then I knew it was all in collectors.

End result: An easy 175k using half an army

Takeaways: I probably would not have attacked this base if that last storage was maxed because i would've assumed less then 175k in the collectors. Always check the storage graphics!

I use a less heavy version of BAM. I only use on average 12 minions per raid (or not at all) which costs me 108 DE, a negligible amount.

Here's my latest boosted run and a new PB for gold farm: http://puu.sh/anpnt/4bc214138e.png

Ehhhhh not really. I always like to have minions because they make it much easier to get storages. With barch I feel like im limited to collectors only

Great guide! I do just queuing differently, three 'racks training archers non-stop, one training barbarians. Usually after a few raids it balances to about 110 archers and 50 barbarians with 30 minions.
It's a heavy version of Coldfury's strategy and very effective for even a bit deeper storages
