Clan War Update - Don't allow people to leave once war has started

So basically this is like jail? You would be trapped in a clan. The leader could simply start wars back to back and you would be forced to stay. This is a terrible idea. Players should have the freedom to do what they want. Don't start a war until you have a set number of members that you trust and you know they will be willing to fight for you.

Just because you can't manage a clan well doesn't mean the game should force people to stay locked in a clan for up to two days. If you want people to participate in wars then you should have an organized clan and you should screen new members. If you just let anyone join and start wars whenever you want, you can't expect everyone to stay. I certainly wouldn't stay in a clan that obviously doesn't know how to war, but I wouldn't know that unless I joined the clan and looked at their bases and watch them attack.

Sometimes it doesn't matter how well you can manage a clan. People
hop as soon as you war anyways in a lot of cases. All I would really like is 1) the ability to choose your roster for war; and 2) *this is more for the fun aspect* having a 2v2 or such clan war. So 2 clans vs 2 clans.

Obviously you can not manage a clan based on the fact you start wars while hoppers are still in the clan, which is what you just basically said

But how are you supposed to know someone is going to hop as soon as the war starts?
I mean, I guess you can kick everyone who you don't trust 100% but that will only get people to hate you. I've only been managing my clan for about a week now and am still fairly new to
game, so suggestions are much appreciated. Thank you.

IMO the people crying about it being unfair are the ones who leave during a war.
They are not victims, they are the culprits.

I like the idea but if the person is planning on leaving then they likely won't participate in the war anyway. I think another option would be to somehow penalize the user for leaving during a war. Maybe that would discourage people from leaving, although it wouldn't really do anything about their non-participation.

Listen I get what you are saying, but its up to the leadership to make it a clan members want to stay in. If they dont want to be there, r forced to stay they will be nasty in clan chat, and you say sabatoge, how would you like them to give nothing but lvl 1 barbs to your member when they are trying to put a CC together for a CW ATT. that would be sabatoge. Just let em go man itll be okay.

I know every clan faces this issue and in some cases, it can cost a win. Granted....you can't make someone attack during war of course but the incentive would be there that since you're in it, you win...you get the loot...then you leave.

So...with that....the war starts, no one can leave the clan until the war if over. if someone tries to leave, give them a message stating something like "you can't leave a war in progress". Right after the war ends, the person will be removed from the clan. Regardless if they attack or not.

Nice base idea but needs some tweaking. For example what happens if that person changes their mind and they don't want to leave? Maybe something like at the end of the war some notification comes up saying 'Are you sure you want to leave?' But yeah otherwise I like the idea, I for one am sick of players leaving in the middle of a war. It lets the entire clan down.
