I'll try to keep it simple, but right now a players level is essentially meaningless. Getting all that extra exp from donating troops and destroying TH's will slowly raise your level, but for nothing. So, this is what I was thinking:
What if for every level you gained you also gained 1 attribute point to spend in any area you chose.
here are some idea of how I thought it could work.
Defensive side:
Adding 1 point would do the following:
Add 1-2 damage for the 1 defensive building you choose
Add 20 Hitpoints to a defensive building you choose
Add 1/4 tile of range (with a max of 1 tile if you added 4 points) to a defensive building you choose
Offensive side:
Adding 1 point would do the following:
Add 1-2% damage or health per point spent on a specific type of troop
Add 1-2% health or damage for a hero of your choice
Add 1-2% strength to a spell of your choice
Add 1-2 seconds of battle time per point
Neutral side:
Adding 1 point would do the following:
boost production rate of a resource collector by 2%
lower training time of a barracks by 2%
lower research time of the lab by 2%
Increase storage of a storage of your choice by 2%
Decrease training time for spells by 2%
decrease trap re-arming cost by 5%
And that's just some of the thought's I had.
I think it would be a great way for players to customize their own base to their needs and how they like to play but still each point would be at such a low boost that it's wouldn't significantly change the game.
Also giving players the option to relocate their points at anytime for a fee of 25k gold and elixir per point would be good to prevent people from moving points to defense when they're logging off and offense when they're raiding and so on.
Any thoughts?
