I was thinking about this- having gold troops of all the current ones.
As gold is heavy, it would slow the troops down, say by 4 Speed but it would make them do a lot more damage. This ability could be activated in the lab by paying gold equivalent to maybe half the cost it was to upgrade to the current level and the ability could last for a week. It could also possibly be toggled on and off for that week. This ability could maybe be expanded then to get gem troops as well which could do the opposite- increasing speed and slightly decreasing DPS.
