Since the new update, Do you think th9 will be the new sweet spot?

i think we all know before the update, th8 was where it was at, good loot, enough diversity in troops to start trying new things, enough weapons to really build decent bases, and ofc the lvl4 hogs where all u needed to wreck things.

however now that we live in a gowi**, and mass dragon world, where th8's simply can not compete, do you think it is now going to make moving the th9 prematurely the recommended thing to do?

i wonder because the only real way to deal with dragons if to have 4 well lvl'd AD's and xbows, all of which come at th9. (AQ and higher lvl air traps help too)
as well as the additional 20spots in the army camp, really allow u to start using gowipe effectively, as well as brings gowiwi to the table, with lvl4 golems, and an addition spell.

now i can't argue that if u max out th8, u will have an easier time, and be overall better off, however if u are looking to war, and really start doing high lvl raiding, your best bet might be to goto th9 prematurely.
(I understand there is differentl lvls of premature, and i dont think u should just shoot upto th9, but i am saying if u spend a small amount of time @th8 and get to about half way or so, it may be better to just jump up atm in the games current climate)

TH9 always was the sweet spot. The loot is easy, you can crush TH8s, and you can start working on your AQ earlier.

lol but i mean before the update there was a reason to stay at th8 and farm, max out everything, including walls, and u could compete.
now if u are a th8, all you really have is mass dragon raids, and smaller gowipe raids.... which are both costly, and for gowipe, is kinda ineffective at th8.

so now it seems like u can;t compete at 8, and so its best to just jump to 9

Always best to max everything before you upgrade. Not saying you have to sit there and farm walls for a month with all your builders snoozing..... but defenses, troop upgrades etc should almost always be done.

Just makes it easier for you as a new TH9, which is always a rough start when starting a new TH.

GoWipe is also plenty effective as a TH8. Costly, and time consuming to train...but if you max out your pekkas to 3 and at least rocky's to 2....it's pretty effective.

And honestly research alone takes forever. No point rushing up to TH9 and sitting there with lvl 4 troops, since you'll have to upgrade them all anyway before you can max them to the next lvl.

I'm a nearly maxed TH8 now and I've had my lab going nonstop since I was a TH8. Still have a few spells, Healers, and a few dark troops to do. If you're active, you'll likely max your TH structures before all research can be done anyway.

Th9 has been the best spot for loot for a long time now.

just to clarify when i say premie, i mean slightly to semi premie, im not saying to skip th8 entirely, obviously u need to lvl ur farming troops asap, as well as every outlet for offensive strength.

also i realize gowipe is effective at th8, but its still extremely weak when compared to a th9 gowipe, those extra 20 spaces, and bulkier geodudes really help significantly.

You said about halfway from your initial OP. Halfway isn't really the same as a "slightly to semi premie", which would be about 65% to 3/4th's done IMO which would be more than a small amount of time spent as a TH8.

Anyway it's your call. I like to max everything as you have to do so eventually anyway. Less to upgrade later on and there's really no reason to get there quicker anyway....unless you really need to for war purposes or to help the clan out.

All it means is a greater loot penalty and you'll be a much easier target to get picked on by 10's. Would recommend having all walls at least purp too before upgrading.

I know the AQ and xbows are tempting, but better to wait imho. Your choice

I am not entirely sure about this. What exactly did you mean by "prematurely"? Could you be more specific in terms of defense upgrades and troop levels? If I only have level 1-2 golem, more time will have to be spent at TH9 before gowi** can be effectively used. That said, TH9's superior defense allows better protection of the resources.

I am not bored of TH8 yet, but I am going to finish skulls a lot sooner than my defense. I don't know what I am going to do with this game at that point.

Even before the new update, TH9 has been so much better in terms of looting, army camp spaces, and nearly any reason you can come up with for wanting to be TH9.

It's going to take a lot of time and alot of resources to get max camps and golems in TH9, which you are going to have a hard time defending as a premmie TH9. Also, before you even complete them, you will be thinking that TH10 has 20 more space, even better golems, and that maybe you should jump to TH10 too.

It's a never ending cycle of chasing after the shiniest brightest toys. Which is useless if you can't hold on to the resources to get close to upgrading them.
