Upgrading walls with Gold or Elixer

Since walls are expensive like hell, can we upgrade our walls with Elixer aswell?
We cannot advance faster than our TH level, but this way we can spend our elixer besides troops.

Walls are not expensive untill level 10. People would max walls way to fast then and the game would be boring for many people if they are maxed with nothing to work on.

upgrading with elixir would be to easy, the game is set up so that gold is rarer then elixir.

9 out of 10 bases do not even care about walls ...
I have seen a lot of TH10 bases running level 4-5 walls ...
And those who are gemming, will keep gemming anyway ...
Besides that, you could do, double the amount of elixer that is required to upgrade a wall.

I disagree with being allowed to upgrade walls with elixir. I don't think people grasp that having high level walls is a pretty big deal, and should remain a difficult (or very expensive) feat to complete.

I would hate to see ever other base I come across with lightning walls.

Nothing needs to change with walls. They should be expensive and close to never-ending, in terms of upgrading them.

There is no point in upgrading walls, if not all walls of a section are upgraded.
It only takes one wall to break into a section, and roughly only 10 out of 250+ walls (I do not know the max) are required to break to get to the center of the base.
Also, at high level and experienced players, use dragons, balloons, hog riders and jump spells.
