Tower usable in defense while upgrading

I wish to see towers still defending while upgrading.
Many bases rely on the towers setup.
I have been maxing my base before leveling up my TH.
However, I need every single tower operating at TH8.
I loose one air defense tower for 8 days!
No, I have to miss at least 3 towers for 5 or more days.

There is no offensive penalty, except for spells. You do not even need those.
Even if you have 3 barracks being upgraded, you can still train 200 troops.
And now troops being smarter to penetrate walls, it becomes harder to defend.
And yet, defending is not rewarded at all! With throphies?
You do not need any of those until TH9 or TH10.

It's already there in CW, no?

Make them do 20% of the regular damage.
Atleast something, so you can balance your base, by moving around towers.
Now, you are better off not using the towers, because gold mines have better hitpoints than towers ...

Besides that, it's not like 890 milion dollar does not cover their expenses.
If they want to make money that desperate, they should make skins.

The have earned money from little things like this which have summed up over time to form this amount
