I like the idea in a general sense, it would need to be at least 12 hours though not 6. Think international clan and time zones.

I do not, however, think this replaces an opt out option. It simply can't address all of the issues that an opt out/in option addresses. And no- I am not going to respond to any comments on that as I don't want to hijack this thread into a opt-out derailment .

I think there are a lot of others, including myself, who do not want to see an opt out button. This approach would be far simpler and not change the current dynamics of war/clan in any major way. Its simply a warning

Man, I said I wasn't gonna respond to this but sheesh. This doesn't answer ANY of the issues that an opt out button would address. I do NOT want clan members to have to leave and/or have to boot them. For a ton of reasons like personnel tracking, morale, time zones, clan standing, donation tracking, etc..

BUT- I rather like this idea as a stand alone deal separate from that. I think it could improve participation and I like a little notice. You will get kick back though from the clans that go back to back wars. Many are already chomping at the bit with a day long wait time.
