    Balloonian tactic

    Hey guys i have been using the balloons and archers tactic (similar to balloons and minion tactic but im saving up dark elixer... I have been failing my attacks lately so can i get some advice please? Ive been deploying them in one line so in your opinion is it better to do this tactic with the balloons all in one place or spread em out over the wall?

    Here you get the point, archer has no synergi with ballon since ballon focus defenses and archer are blocked by walls
    anyway, ballons need rage spell, they are very slow, if you go on a tds it will just kill all your ballon

    which lvl are your ballon ? this troop start to be strong only at lvl 4-5

    Exactly balloons do not work with archers and I would not do it with balloons lower than 5.

    True... Im just finding ways to save dark elixer so i use arch instead of minion... Once all the defense gets destroyed i sometimes drop my BK in too

    I'm a town hall lvl 7 and i use balloonion successfully. I'm at 1900 trophies and getting 2 stars at the most during my raids, i have lvl 4 Balloons (max for my lvl) and lvl 2 Minions (max for my level), as well as max lvl spells.

    You should probably start using minions, 200-300 dark elixir trains up 40 (approximate) minions and if you attack a loot filled base you'll easily make a profit. Minions are much more versatile than archers as they just fly right over walls and they'll get right into the middle of a base if the wizard and archer towers are out of the way.

    My army composition:


    24 Ballooons
    40 Minions
    2 heal spells
    1 rage spell.

    My tactic:

    Deploy all 24 Balloons at once, spread them out over 30% of one side of a base so they target at least 3 individual targets. I deploy a rage spell (lvl 4) on the first defence they reach to speed things up and a heal spell (lvl 4) to heal them when they clear a few targets. Straight after i deploy my balloons i deploy all 40 minions within the same spread as the balloons and follow up with a heal spell when they reach the town hall.

    NOTE: I don't go for TH10's unless they are pathetic, i try not to attack TH9's but if there's lots of dark elixir i'll go for it (usually get 1 star at the most, sometimes 2 stars), I mainly attack TH8's because it's a guaranteed 2 star if everything goes well and the minions really get right into the base and take all the gold/elixir/dark elixir.

    I did just fine with level 4 balloons at town hall 7. I used 24 balloons, 1 Dragon, and the rest wall breakers, archers and goblins. I used 3 lightning spells to take out one of the air defenses. If it was a town hall 7, I'd then spread my balloons out around the air defense to take it down fast...once the air defense is out of the way, it's smooth sailing.

    With town hall 8s...you need to look for air defenses that aren't centrally located....this is where the Dragon comes in...you can use the archers to clear out some outer buildings, deploy the Dragon, either it takes out the air defense or use it as a meat shield and use some of your balloons to take out that air defense while the rest are taking out the other air defense.

    I like lightning spells better with level 4 balloons bc the most important thing is to take out the air defense asap.

    Archers are also cool bc sometimes you can snipe the ADs from over the walls with them. And that's one less AD to worry about.

    Watch out for ADs next to wiz towers. Usually it takes two shots to kill a balloon from a typical town hall 7/8 base with average air defense...but the wizard towers will soften up all the balloons and they will start dropping like flies.

    Personally, I think healing and rage spells are better for lvl 5+ balloons because they can take a lot more damage.

    That's my two cents...I know some prefer the rage, but I like the lightning, bc if they only have one centralized AD, and you take it out, that's huge for your attack. Good luck!

    Ok thanks guys the balloon archer worked a total of once... As soon as ive made my barb king/minion upgrade ill do the balloonian tactic properly

    Axl why souldnt u take the wiz out before the air def? Wiz does damage to more than one balloon
