Are dragons worth attacking with?

I get my dragons in like 3 hours. I want to attack with them, but idk if they are good at level 1. Any tips on how many to use, what to use them with, or how to use them?
I plan on using them with hogs for clan wars and goblins/wall breakers for dark elixir. Is this a good idea or no?

Dragons are good however they are expensive a common drag strategy is just all drags or maybe with some minions.

at town hall 7? no, not worth using. But at town hall 9, when the elixir upgrades are rather non-existent, you can do mass drag raids every few hours and roll in dark and gold

Instead of using hogs I would use a healer or 2 depending on level then throw in 4 more giants then target air defenses then drop down your drags

I am wrecking bases around 1200-1400 trophies with 3 drags and hogs! Dark elixir heaven right now!
