New Th8, 100+ nexts, drop trophies?

Hi all, i just recently upgraded TH from a maxed TH7, i decided to start farming bases soon after to start getting resources for Dark Elixir drill, upgrades etc.

I'm currently sitting at 1440 trophies but am having trouble finding bases with more than 100k combined resources after a couple hundred nexts, the ones that do are usually well defended TH8/TH9s.

Should i drop down a couple hundred trophies or just unlucky? The Dark Elixir is definitely in the 1500-1600 range but it is hard for me to farm gold/elixir. At the same time im unsure about what Silver league resources would be like.

I get the feeling though that i should drop down and Barch/Lazy farm until im decently upgraded again and then go for the Dark Elixir at higher ranges a second time. The reason i ask is because i suck at farming trophies and would hate to dump them for no reason.

Really?? I never have had that problem...as a newish TH8, I love the loot in gold 2/3. I'm not a good barcher however, and I attack heavier, using giants, lvl 5 wiz, healers, wbs and archers...but there are lots of juicy town hall 7s ripe for the taking. Personally, I think you should worry about gold and elixir, get your new walls to at least the pink ones, and worry about upgrading troops before you try to farm for dark.

Even in my raids, I'm still getting a couple of hundred dark...sometimes more, but I'm still just concentrating on gold and elixir for the time being...get the troops you use to the max level of TH8 before you start to actually farm DE. Until then, search for TH7s, and weak 8s. Going from 7 to 8 sucks initially because you have exactly the same amount of troops, and all of our troops are basically TH7 troops initially, so attack in the same mindset you used at TH7.

I know this isn't helping at all when it comes to a troop composition strategy, just thought I'd put my 2 cents in. Hopefully this helps a little

Too many th6 in silver, bad idea.100 next is normal on bad streak, but there are plenty of easy storage raid around usually.

I sit in high Gold 3. I frequent get 200k/200k collector raids.

Sometimes I'll push up to Gold 2 just from getting 50% in my raids. The loot is still good and I tend to drop back down to Gold 3 by just taking out the gold collectors (no need for elixir anymore for me at TH8).

Gold 3/2 is best at TH8 imho. Silver is too low (too many TH6's) though still farmable. Anything higher than Gold 1 (Crystal) get's a little too difficult also as you'll be constantly raided by TH9's/10's if you have loot and bases tend to take a little more well developed armies to break into cores. The dark elix is nice up there though which you won't have access to much in Gold/Silver.

As a new TH8, I'd probably hover around the silver 1/gold 3 range until you have at least lvl 5 barb/arch. Then move up to Gold 2/1 and hit collectors, and overall good loot in general.

I've been at 1250-1450 since th6 and am still finding good Loot at th9
can farm about 1 mil an hour each with barch
