The reason hindering people from moving to high town hall such as TH8-TH9 especially TH9 is that it gets really tough to farm at that TH level, considering the high penalty of looting againt low level TH and high defense of high level TH, and the high cost of upgrading high level defences and walls. Therefore farming at TH9 becomes the real "end game" experience. I've seen many players claiming they will stay at Th 7 or TH 8 for good. This is not a good trend for a long term game.
The loot penalty system is to protect low level TH players, which is considerate and understandable. However the system is really a punishment to high level TH players, who often are those loyal and hardcore customers. These customers do not deserve any "punishment" from the game!
With the introduce of trophy league system, I come up with an idea to solve the above issues. SC can bring in an "extra bonus system" to compensate the penalty system. In the system high level TH players gets extra bonus loot on top of the final loot, or of the bonus loot from the league system at least. This bonus comes from the system, not the player being attacked. In this way the low level TH player still get protected, and the high level TH player get happy loot. Win-win.
For example, in current system a 1400 trophy TH9 attacks a 1400 trophy TH7 and get 100k gold and 100k elix. With the introduce of league system, this TH9 player gets 165k gold and 165k elix and 200 de. With the "extra bonus system" mentioned above, say the extra bonus is 50%, this TH9 gets 247.5k gold and 247.5k elix and 300 de.
Would this bonus be too much hence affect the balance of the game? Not really. All stuff at TH9 are far too expensive already, let along the upgrading of heroes which is really a pain. With the help of this system, players now can move to high level TH with much less hesitation. Once they move to high level TH, and hold abundant resource at hand, it is more tempted for them to purchase gems to buy builders and to shorten the upgrading time, which is also a logic behind the official league system IMO. SC pays little bonus (it is even not real money!), customers become much more happy. Why not?
