Tower Add-ons - Opens game to whole other level!!!

    Clash of Clans Tower Add-ons

The idea is to add another level of customization to all towers in the game. The goal is to add options for players that have max out their game and also for lower players to try to have extra support. each tower can only have one upgrade and you cannot change towers in middle of upgrades, research or after the preparation phrase in war.

    How to get it

5 add-ons come in treasure chest, (6 add-ons on red treasure chest) .There is Different types of treasure chest (at least one rare or better add-on is randomly giving on each treasure chest). Here are the ways you can get treasure chest

    - War Winner (Red Chest)
    - Successful War attacks (depending on how many stars they get, the better the treasure chest will be)
    - Best attack and Best Defense at the end of the war (Red Chest)
    - Successful regular attacks (depending on how many stars you get and what rank you are currently the better the treasure chest will be)
    - Trading in your tokens (for selling back your duplicates or add-ons you have too many of
    - Using gems

    Chest Types

    - Red treasure chest (Best chest, giving to all Champion league 3 star battles, sometimes it can be given to any 3 star battles in Masters and Crystal league. Best attack and defense in war and War winners)
    - Blue treasure chest (2nd Best chest, Giving to all Masters 3 stars attacks, Giving to all other attacks in Champions league, and some 2 star attacks in Master and Crystal league)
-Green treasure chest (Giving to Crystal player’s battle winners, also giving to all other successful attacks in Master league, and small change for all other lower leagues)
    - Regular treasure chest (All successful attacks will get one or better)

Red chest – 2% chance for legendary add-ons, 10% chance of Epic add-ons, 20% chance of rare add-ons and 68% chance of common add-ons)
Blue chest – 1.25% chance for legendary add-ons, 6% chance of epic add-ons, 15% chance of rare add-ons and 77.75% chance of common add-ons)
Green chest - .75% chance for legendary add-ons, 3% chance of epic add-ons, 10% chance of rare add-ons and 86.25% chance of common add-ons)
Regular chest - .25% chance of legendary add-ons, 1% chance of epic add-ons, 5% chance of rare add-ons and 93.75% chance of common add-ons)

You can destroy add-ons you have duplicates or too many for a chest token, common cards give you 1 token back, rare give you 3 back, epic gives you 10 back and legendary will give you 50 back. You can use tokens to buy Regular (10 tokens), Green (30 tokens) or Blue (60 Tokens). No red chest can be bought with tokens

all Feedback at this point is good, only reason I came up with this was because the game was getting too repetitive for me, the only surprise aspect of the games are bombs, Hidden Testa towers and CC troops. I believe adding add-ons could make the game very interesting, but you are correct, it needs to be incorporated properly!

Some really interesting ideas here to increase the variety of base defense design. Currently many bases are just copies of good designs, which in turn means attack strategies are often the same thing over and over. Having a lot more paths to follow in towers would make both base creation and attacks more interesting. Would you have these improvements shown in the tower graphic, or would attackers not know what improvement if any a tower had?

    Wow, long and detailed post.

The combat buffs from legendary add-ons are far too overpowered. It is kind of unfair for the attacker, if they send in a golem or something to tank to have their golem get melted by heroes for example.

The builder's huts buffs are ruled out, as they would probably make Supercell lose some money.

There are some creative ideas for the Epic add-ons. However, defensive towers are all unique in the way they operate, and they shouldn't be changed.

Having said that, you could get the ideas from your add-ons and use them to create new defensive structures.

As for the Rare and Common add-ons, they are mostly relatively bland ideas (although I don't blame you, as they can't be too strong), and there is not much difference between enhancing a building with an add-on and creating another level for it.

tl;dr I'm not a huge fan of these ideas.

I know you probably put atleast 30min making this, but I don't really understand the customization/upgrade/chests meaning of this. I read over the majority of the information besides the statistics more than once, and I don't understand what this means. I cant understand what youre thinking.

The Legendary, rare and common feature definately makes 0 sense.
I feel that you're relating this topic to an elsewhere gamefeature.

tl;dr, you can upgrade buildings in special ways with chests.

Yeah I think it would be up to supercell to think about tower graphics, But i was thinking for legendary add-on tower, it could be gold, Epic could be purple, Rare could be Blue and common it would be the same. not sure if attacker should know what kind of Epic upgrade the tower has.

the Legendary add-ons in my mind should be pretty hard to get, I would say maybe 2% of all current clash of clans accounts would have one after one year. the way I see it is like this

casual player after one year - 0% - .5% to get one legendary
active player after one year - .5% - 1% to get one legendary
Good clan wars player with good clan after one year - 1% - 2% chance to get one or two legendary
Hardcore clan wars player with awesome clan after one year- 2% - 4% chance to get one or two legendary
Gemmer - % depends on how much money they spend

I think supercell would make up that money with people using gems to buy treasure chest, and also don't forget the game in my mind is at a tipping point, most of the end game upgrades and research takes 14+ days, so the more updates they release, those days should jump to 15+ to 21+ days, so the builder huts add-ons can make a big difference down the road

The towers are unique in their own way, your are correct, but I strongly feel that some of us that have been playing this game as long as I have feel pretty boring sometimes on playing, the good thing about the game is that it takes forever to fully build your base (unless you spend $$$$$ of dollars), so my adding add-ons, it would add a spice of options if the players choose to scheme their defenses better for different type of attacks.

    Thank you for your feedback!

Another thing I wanted to add, this idea would also go into play on what bases we current attack, right now I believe we all attack for these following reasons.

    - high end base that is inactive.
    - base with TH on the outside for easy trophies.
    - base must have high enough resources to make it worth a while to attack.
    - base with resources on the outside, or easy to get to.

how many times or how much time do you spend on clicking next, and next and so on till you find the perfect base ? Sometimes it takes me anywhere from 1 minute to 20+ minutes, it sucks. But with this new system in play, it would add a new category for attacks, because you can add a chance to get good add-ons with a 3 star attack.

    - low end bases that rush up to ranks, easy 3 stars.
    - bases that don't have good resources, but based on the set-up, easy to destroy.
