To keep your laboratory busy, upgrade one of those now (barb loons etc.). But if you can farm like for an hour or two for the archer. go for archers.

if you care about Clan wars: Giants -> Barbs -> Archers -> ...

if you just farm: Barbs -> Archers -> Giants -> BARCH all day

I actually waited till I upgraded my elixir storage and upgraded archers first. They are the best at lv6
