Thread: War matching I think needs work
Not sure if all the matchmaking threads got mashed up into one mega-thread... but somehow I ended up listed as supporting the "petition", which I don't.
My clan has had a few mismatches, but those have been our closest and most exciting matches and I would hate to see them go.
That's it. 4 th10 vs 17 th10 war is about to finish and we are gonna lose.
We managed to get 3 stars on every th8 and th7, 2 stars on every th9 and some 3 stars.
It was SO HARD for our th9 troops to get even one star on th10 with inferno towers, we tried everything and managed to get 15 stars out of them but that was not enough.
Every attack from their th10 on our th9 get at least 2 stars, so even they didn't make attacks as much as we did, they still outscored us quite a bit.
Well, we love this game, but this ♥♥ matchmaking rly needs to improve.
NOTE: We have 4 th10 and only 2 are well upgraded with lv20+ heroes, while they have 17 th10 of which 8 are almost max out with lv20+ heroes (top 3 have lv40 heroes) and all the rest have inferno towers.
Guys......There is no way matchmaking will EVER become perfect. It would take far too much time, and the bases still would not be perfectly equal. Instead, DEAL WITH IT. If your clan puts out a strong enough effort, you will win the war. I also don't see people complaining when they get a super easy matchup.....Only when they have a tough war do they start complaining. Deal with it and find a way to win. I know you can do it.

Ofc nothing is perfect. We never get match with opponents that have less or even th10 bases than us, but we managed to pull wins exactly like you said. ALL IN with efforts.
But this last war srsly makes me question if this matchmaking is gonna pull more devastating wars like this on us.
FYI:
What we have:
4 -- TH10 (only 2 fully upgraded and the rest in early stage)
25 -- TH9 (half in early stage, only 5 are well upgraded)
21 -- TH8
What they have:
17 --TH10 (7 fully upgraded with lv3 inferno towers and ALL THE REST have inferno towers)
12 -- TH9 (pretty much like our th9, but has 3 MORE well-upgraded bases)
18 -- TH8
3 -- TH7
On top of that their th10 have much higher lv heroes. Top 3 has lv40 heroes and all top are all lv20+, while only our top 2 have lv20+ heroes.
The reason you th8 couldn't raid is because you guys took all the bases from them! Let the lower people take the bases out first and have QUALITY raids......I think you could have won, but I would have been very close had you done things differently.
You really sound like you are in our war but in fact you are not.
The fact that those didn't attack was only because those guys said they were busy, not that they can't find the right targets lol. We have recorded 100/100 attack a couple of times and those guys are more than happy to attack th9 bases.
In fact challenging higher lv bases is kinda like a tradition in my clan. So the last clan war most of our th9 attacks went to their th10 but it was too hard to get even one star, especially on their top10 that were as strong as our top 2.
Please don't make this sound like you have never had similar wars like this when strategies, attack counts and efforts don't matter because your opponent can easily get stars from you simply because they have higher lv bases.
Sorry for being a "know it all".........I get really into it sometimes. I'm just trying to understand the situation. The only thing I can say now is shake it off and hope for a better match next time. Just don't blame SC because all.clans experience this. All clans have shoe-ins, and wars where they are demolished. It just happens. Cheers!
Youre funny. When we have 1 player with a totally maxed base and lvl40 heros, rest are mildly built th10 and even 9 th9s, and we get paired with clans that are full th10, over 20 of them completely maxed besides blue walls with lvl40 heros(top 10 have blue walls), youre telling me that all we have to do is put in strong effort? Our last war the opponents number 32 had max heros and max th10 defense with lvl9-10 walls. He was paired with a th9 on our side. Please, elaborate and explain how our th9s are supposed to 2 star their equal with these odds against them? On the other side all they have to do is send in heros and an absolutely horrid gowipe/wi for 3 stars easily. War match making is a complete gamble, so dont talk like you have the slightest clue what we are complaining about.

The solution is clan war leagues. Matches are still calculated the with the same metrics that they are now, however you are only matched with a clan in your league. leagues are based on win loss ratio over the last 10 wars. 10% league, 20% league.........80% league, 90% league, 100% league. The clan crest would get a badge affixed to it corresponding to the league.
