War matching I think needs work

Some ppl are exaggerating by a lot. "xp 80s vs xp 110+"?? I call the ♥♥ on that.

My clan has 30 wins and we war twice per week. Sure sometimes we get outmatched but, most of the time it is ok.

I bet you all these ppl complaining about going vs a lot of maxed out th10s, etc have noob th10s in their clan; ppl who rushed to th10 but, have th8 buildings.

In my opinion, TH lvl (just the th lvl) matters a lot. I am very sure that SC weighs it heavily when pairing two clans. They also consider buildings and their upgrades. So, if you have idiots in your clan who have sped to th9 from th7 or th10 from th8 then they are hurting your clan; it's reasonable to see you get matched vs. as many th10s as you have or high lvl th9.

We kick ppl who join w/ th9 but, don't have buildings to support that lvl.

IMO, a starting th9 should be xp 86+.

Clan wars matchmaking is not done by XP level or town hall, but rather a score based on the level of your defensive buildings, traps, and more.

Also keep in mind that if matchmaking were too strict, it would be very difficult to find any matches at all. We realize that this can result in some unfair matches, but it's better than the alternative of not finding any matches at all.

Our war they ran out of targets and cleaned up TH8s with max gowipe from all there TH10 s. The math behind these bad matchups doesn't make sense so they must have random generation to them so it screws there clan war FAQ.

Even getting one bad matchup demonstrates there is randomness to matchups. Random matchups produce these terrible matchups with max TH10s fighting TH8s. Clan Wars has zero crediability going forward unless this is fixed.

Just so you know, I am not disagreeing with you on the match up deal. It blows. It has blown for us for the last five wars. I simply gave you our alternative in the last war that was rather fun. Does it fix the problem? Nope. Was it fun? Yep. Did it improve our entire clan morale? Yep. Is our entire clan now ready (after blowing off some steam) to just go at the next war full on even if mismatched? Yep.

You don't have to do it obviously. It certainly is not for everyone. But if you just wanted to start a complaint rant, shoot...there are hundreds of other identical threads you could have added to. People are going to chime in on this and try to offer up solutions for you. Or tell you otherwise. Its the nature of the forums. You get the good, bad and indifferent. A thread is a discussion. Otherwise there is zero point to making a thread. Just email SC direct with your complaint and be done with it.

Thank you for your impeccable breakdown, thorough dissection and explanation of how the forums work sir. I commend you to the highest of my capabilities for your uncanny skill at stating the obvious. Secondly, our morale doesn't need improvement the match making system does. I am deeply saddened and terribly concerned that your clan suffered the indignity of a bout with low morale. I am not a regular forum dweller here and only created this account to express my concern with the topic at hand. I did not read any other posts relating to any other topics at all. So please find it in your heart to forgive me and pardon me of all my sins for not delving deeper into everyone else's cacophony.

Like i have said in another post it seems that the matching gets harder as we win more in a row. Makes it fun if you ask me and really pushes the clan. We are also a 50 win clan and we never quit. If your truly a good clan you will make it as hard on them as you can.

Yeah I definitely think a win streak is a factor. We have won 7 in a row have now come up against a clan way out of our league. We are going to try our best, but honestly have no chance in this war with our 2 TH10s and 3 TH9s up against their 5 TH10s and 12 TH9s. We have TH7s in the war and they have none. Their weakest base is a maxed TH8. So yeah, maybe win streak or number of wins factors into the matchmaking? Can't see how else we would get matched up against this much stronger clan. 😞

Maybe your lucky streak in matchmaking just came to an end.

Considering you're on 50 wins, you must be a warring clan that raids often, so you'll hit the odd times of the week where very few people are attacking, so pairing suck more. My clan only wars on the weekend, and we're yet to get a significantly uneven match, especially since we cleared out our inactives which were raising the lv up.

So, them's the risk of raiding on the off times. and hey, it's only a two day wait for you guys and you can just not attack.
