War matching I think needs work

warheadplaya here from the NOOB BRIGADE clan. I am here to express my discontent about our most recent clan war pairing. A vast majority of the wars we have fought up until this point have been relatively evenly matched but no such luck with this current war. the war is a 50 vs 50. Here is some of the FACTS about how we are matched. We have 8 town hall 10's and they have 11, no big deal there. we have 4 players over level 100 and they have 20, we have 21 players under level 70 and 70 is their minimum level. We had nearly 17,000 trophies coming into the war and they had 20,297.

Before this war all the wars were evenly matched, this war is a total matchmaking fail as we are outmatched in every category and this isn't fair at all. PLEASE somebody fix the match making system so they clans are evenly paired.

as a closing note, we boycotted this war and didn't attack. This would have been a waste of our resources to attack with 0 possibility of winning. This was a total waste of our time. Ever since clan wars started we have not had a lapse in clan war battles, always starting a war immediately after the last one finishes. So technically this was our first vacation from clan wars albeit an unwanted one.

All of the clan shares my opinions on this abortion of a matchmaking epic failfest. It would be great if this war could be stricken from our record or perhaps a compensation in the form of gems.

I wouldn't complain if if I only got one mismatched clan war. Congrats for always getting an evenly matched war, except for this one.

FYI, a lot of clans have been matched with stronger clans (a lot of times). They deserve to complain more than you.

Yup, no offense but one mis match....big whoop. When you get 5-10 in a row you can jump on one of the other 5 threads started daily complaining about war matchmaking instead of starting yet another one.....

But hey! I am not here just to talk smack . I actually have a solution. We just did this our last war (our fifth in a row of getting paired with a much higher clan). Announce a "practice war". Participation not required. But encourage new things! Try a new strat! A new base! We had members try their first GOWIWI, no pressure! I did a 129 Wallbreaker, One Goblin 3 Rage and a Jump spell attack Leader to leader . My wife tried 15 healer and a PEKKA. We had a kick.

FYI, Wallbreakers don't jump.....always wondered about that....

So yeah, instead of boycotting and making it a negative experience, we are now looking forward to mismatches. We just had a blast. I am sure the other clan was just...♥♥♥....

Or maybe not. Maybe they get it.

So, according to you, just how many times do you have to be utterly, unfairly matched before "deserve" a complaint?

No offense, but i'm not going to "practice" attacks in war that we have zero chance of winning. My troops are maxed for the most part and it's expensive to compile a war army when you are getting nothing in return.

We just got matched into a 30vs30 ( when we have 36). They have six TH10s six TH9s twelve TH8s six TH7s. All of them but couple are very well upgraded bases. We have a rushed TH10,9. Thirteen TH8s, fifteen TH7s. Its a fart in the matchmaking system. There is no way any sort of math makes us fairly matched. This is the first time I've seen this error in the system.

Same here, we are so absurdly mismatched it's almost laughable. If we keep force feeding this down supercells throat every time it happens maybe they will be quicker to acknowledge the problem and right it.

How are clans matched for a clan war?
Clan wars matchmaking matches clans based on the strength of their members. Unlike multiplayer battles, trophies have no influence in determining your clan wars opponent. After an opposing clan is found, the war immediately starts. There’s no “nexting” in clan wars matchmaking.

How is strength calculated in clan wars?
Strength is based on each member’s attacking power (troops, army camp capacity, spells and heroes) and defensive strength (defense buildings, walls, traps and heroes). Different layouts and base designs do not affect strength. The only way a member’s strength can be changed is if they upgrade their troops, defenses, spells, etc.

I'm just stressing the fact that there are more clans that have been given mismatch clan wars, for a lot of times. If all of you complain, then this forum would be filled with 1000 complaints.

Than maybe they would fix the problem. And this wasn't the first mismatch we have had, it's the first mismatch so overboard we had 0 chances of winning

i scout every base on preparation day along with all the hierarchy of our clan. It was determined on preparation day unanimously this was an unfair pairing.

We are btw a 50 win war clan

Then you should have enough pride to fight hard no matter the odds.

Worst case scenario? You lose (though hopefully you learn something and/or get better doing so). Best case scenario? You win (against all odds).

So what? So are mine. I dont complain about troop cost EVER in clan wars...win or lose. You will never recoup that. I am talking about your entire clan getting to try new things in a no pressure environment. I am not the only clan that is trying this out. Quit thinking about just you. My entire clan jumped all over this and had a ton of fun.

and incidentally, if you remember, my attack was 129 WB....which was super fun and cost squat.
