TH9 DE/Gold farming help?

I'm planning on moving up in trophies to farm DE and gold together. I haven't seriously farmed DE at TH9 so I have a few questions.

1. What's the best range for farming DE and gold together?

2. What's the best army comp for farming DE and gold together?

3. Should I focus on farming drills or trying to get to storages?

Assuming you've got 220 supply at your army camp, I would recommend farming with barbs and archers between the trophy ranges of 2020 - 2450 (Dark elixir bonus for winning). Once you get up to 2450 or so, use your hero to drop back down.

Typically, I just have 2 of my rax constantly pumping out barbs and the other two are constantly pumping out archers. Boosted, you're fighting like every three minutes or so. Utilizing this tactic, you won't be able to easily get to deep storages, but what you're really after is the loot bonus (make sure to solve for the 1-star) and how much of that you can get per hour. Try that out and see how it works out for you.

For troop deployment, I four-finger (iPad) about a third of my barbs and they typically trigger any exterior giant bombs. Next, I deploy all my archers around their entire perimeter. And right after that, the rest of the barbs. I usually only use spells to get to the super-juicy storages and heroes are there for when I am a couple of percentage points away from 50.
