    Clan strategy

I'm sure I'm not the only one in this, but I don't mind to admit my weaknesses. I'm all about learning and growing.

My clan is small (and I like that), we have 19 members but no one is very active. I push upgrades hard and no idle builders unless it's for walls. It seems like most of the chat is resembles KIK, with people wondering what times to come over to each other's houses.

I don't mind this chatting. In fact it's a good thing. But no one requests troops or donates like they should. I've even told them not to worry about negative ratios and have tried to make them donate and then immediately ask for troops.

Many of them are teens who are good kids. But when I request I get troops from the same people. In fact, only 5 of us are serious enough about the game (what I mean by serious is just to upgrade your base and try to get better, not being in champions league). I've tried in-clan competitions, upgrade competition, pushes, and now I'm just telling them all to drop to wherever they want and farm all the time.

We don't war much, about once per month, primarily because they just cannot attack. One of our TH8 guys dropped a barb and a tesla came up. The next troop he dropped was a pekka. I hope that explains things. I don't wanna war until I can recover at least some of what I spend attacking the top people.

I guess I'm just frustrated with it all. As it stands now, only 5 of us really treat it like a clan. I know people have lives and I'm grateful they do, but I think (hope!) everyone knows what I mean.

Most of my friends have told me to take those 5 people and leave and make a new clan. Others have told me that I would do better alone. I'm hoping someone here may give me a different take or perhaps offer some words of wisdom.

I really appreciate any feedback you may be able to give me. Feel free to check out the clan to get a better idea.

    Sincerely,

    Mud, (clan Exodious)

Thanks for the input! I have a few who have been with me quite some time and I don't want to leave them hanging around.

Ya, been trying that too. Dropped trophy requirements, posted here, post all over global. We all know the routine.

Alright after visiting a clan what I think you need to do is
    1. Kick more inactives
    2 be slighty more supportive

take in new members and start trimming the fat. Once you find a member or two who is what you've been looking for, build around them - take in their friends and family and start kicking the people indiscriminately who go against what you believe your clan should represent. Promote one of the model clanmates to coleader and start bouncing ideas off of them.

Trust your coleader to take care of business once they've earned that trust.

Another idea is to start over with a couple of your gaming friends. A decent clan takes a while to build, so be patient.
Again, don't be afraid to kick especially inactives.

Once you get the clan to around 25 or so members then the chat should stay lively at most hours and people start asking to join. - it becomes self sustaining.

Once you get to that point start promoting/demoting on the regular and recruiting and kicking.

very true and solid points. I was leader of a clan 45 strong before this one so I know about the self-sustaining part. I don't mind a small clan, either. I do have a co-leader I trust. For now, the ones I'm helping and supporting have been around for a long time. I help them every day and every day I say the same things and they keep making the same mistakes. It's like they never learn. lol.

Maybe I'm just getting tired of being leader. ha ha

I was in a similar situation not to long ago. I decided to leave the clan and let my brother lead. Im really glad I left that clan as it was dying too.

So basicslly not being leader is a lot of fun.

also you should talk to your clan and have them help the decision

Sounds like my original clan. Back in November, when I only had one account, I joined a clan randomly. It was very active and soon hit 40 members, ranging from the 70s down to the beginners like me. The leader was young, and the core players were his school friends.

I was just starting my second account when he decided to order a push, and closed the clan to low levels. So I put my new second account in a different clan.

But my first clan almost immediately began to fall apart. Most of the high level players left and only 5 or so remained active. Now, I really liked the active players, so I kept the account there for a few more weeks, even as it took all day to fill a lvl 3 cc.

I invited the active players to join me in my other clan, which was very active. None did.

I would check in on that clan monthly....it remained mostly dead. Finally, a few weeks ago, it was gone......

I would highly recommend finding an active clan. It makes clash so much fun.
