Things you thought when you first started playing but now seem ridiculous/silly

I thought the game will be reset every season and everyone goes back to TH 2 after a season finished.

I though the win % determined how many of the trophies you got.
i.e. 50% raid with 30 trophies available got you 15 trophies.

I would spend every troop available to get to 70/80% and get annoyed when I didnt get the extra trophies.

It wasn't until TH7 that I worked out it was (roughly) 1/3 per star.... (actually I think it is 30% for the first star, 35% each for 2 & 3)

I thought mortars did extra damage in the red zone haha

I thought healers can heal balloons and when they didnt wanted to report it as a bug

I thought I could max out my base in a month or two if I was active enough. Also, I thought I should play through the goblin campaign before trying to attack other players, because I wouldn't be ready to fight other players' bases otherwise.

Edit: I'm now th10, almost 400 million GG, and still haven't finished goblin campaign...

You should finish it 800k of each on the last level and its easy for a TH10

That once you got defeated in defense once you would have to start over and build it all again. Then I looked at top player to see if he was protecting his builder huts because those would cost gems to rebuild after each defense loss.

When I joined my first clan the leader was a decently developed th8 and I thought he was a god and would know EVERYTHING about clash...

Also I didn't even realise there was a next button for longer than I'm willing to admit

I didn't actually see it till TH5 but still didn't use incase I might lose trophies.
