Things you thought when you first started playing but now seem ridiculous/silly

1.Didn't raid people for resourses, only for trophies until TH8
2.Rushed to TH8 just to get the DE drill (the time when there was only one for TH8)
3.Thought that raiding was only for trophies and getting resourses from collectors was more profiting
4.Had a pretty crappy TH8 for 1 month with 3 builders resting all the time

If i raided constantly and upgraded my base, i would be pretty good TH9 now.

This was me.

When I finally got the nerve to attack someone in a clan, I would make sure I would not destroy their CC out of respect.

I would end the battle... Even surrender if the CC was able to fall, and hope that they would take that as a sign of respect and not rally the entire clan against me in a personal vendetta.

I thought Goblins were the best troop in the game...

True story, I told all my friends "When you start the game, buy goblins only, they are the best troop!"

Second thought - I thought that Healers would heal enemy troops so I didn't use them for a bit, and that they were great for defense because I thought they could heal themselves and heal the buildings over and over...

Third Thought - OMG YOU ARE A TH7!!! YOU ARE THE BEST WITH ALL THOSE PINK WALLS I WANT TO HAVE THOSE SOMEDAY!

Thinking gems were a common item and spent first 250 gems on archer armies in the first 10 mins of playing.

Ouch! Poor wasted gems This has to be the best one and of course the worst assumption.

I thought only wall breakers were able to break through walls, and only Giants could break defenses so I had half my army made of wallbreakers and the rest Giants.

Oh, more stuff I'm now remembering - I thought the best way to progress would be to max out my collectors, and to upgrade my town hall level as quickly as possible so that I could build more collectors. I remember thinking of it like the macro economy game of Starcraft, where collectors would be the primary source of income.

The starting screen with the SUP ERC ELL logo made me wonder who was this "SUP ERC ELL". It made me think the game was made by 3 people because of the 3 possible initials or names.

Until I went on reddit and the forums, realizing it stranded for supercell lol.

I used to think that you would get randomly attacked by goblin armies.

I was also one of the people who thought if my base was destroyed, I'd have to start all over.

Luckily I got into this game because of my friends so they guided me since the beginning. So no humiliating mistake

But I remember when I first saw my friend's BK and thought man how can I ever get enough DE to buy that.
And when I found out that skull is 500k per piece I thought I'm never gonna upgrade my walls to level 8 lol
