Been stuck trying to clear Thoroughfare in SP pretty much all day long.

Been sending 15 Level 2 Barbs to each of the Archer Towers (Easily cleared), and 20 Level 2 Archers from the rear to go straight for the AD's at the back.

With all the divided attention this seems to go well, right up until the barbs start getting one shotted from full health by cannons that previously couldnt do so and 3 defensive structures that need divine providence to focus on a single target/group at one time suddenly do so with remarkable ease so that there is no way for the Archers to finish their task in the the back so that a Balloon could be deployed to finish the job.

What annoys me is that it seems like the AI always gets a huge damage boost from losing all 3 towers and effectively thrashing me over and over again through no fault of my own.

What can I do that doesnt involve another expensive investment that will clear the map so that I can get my due credit and be able to move on?

Cant really do that. Level 3 requires me to go TH5, which is still in progress. Even then, the strat picked up from the wikia was shown to have worked without upgrades.

I'm just confused about how the defenses can cut down Level 2 forces like they were not upgraded to start without being pushed as high as some of the cannons in prior levels have been.

I would say no since its possible without the upgrades.

That said, Guess I need to sit tight until TH5 is up and active so I can upgrade the Lab and move on to Level 3 and push other stuff along.

No need to stress so much with single player. It will be easier as you progress

You shouldn't be completing SP this early anyway. It should be saved for TH9/10 when you need an extra 500k gold on a shield.
