What troops are in your cc? That makes a big difference. Drags in your cc on a barch raid are very starry (insert word of your choice for starry). Go for arch,wiz,mins in your cc.

Yeah, I think trying to get to Masters with 2-star raids using mass dragons will bankrupt you. Ages ago, my TH8 got to C1 using 6-8 dragons, the rest minions, but it got really hard to find bases with a win and also elixer, unless you just TH sniped in which case a cheaper and faster army is much better. You can snipe to Masters and beyond, it's just patience and time online. Getting there with more brute force, and no gems, is going to also take a lot of patience and also a lot of good judgement in terms of who to attack. B-arch for 50% is too hard with 200 troops, mass dragons or gowipe are about the only proven strategies but they are both expensive and take ages to train; balloons can get you to around 2500 no worries but for Masters I think TH8 is going to struggle again you end up sniping TH / destroying a TH7 you find, so what's the point.

Definitely keep your TH outside, you never know how many low-level TH snipers will find you, and you might get a juicy revenge in some day too.

I sniped to C2 as TH7 but it got very difficult once I cracked 2301 (personal best).

Are your collectors maxed out? If not, that would be a good step to get your base producing as much as possible. Are you trying to get there to stay or just for the gems?

Yes, all my gold mines and lix collectors are lvl 11 and DE drill is lvl 3. And neither. I'm just going to masters for the sake of having been there.

I had pretty good luck using:
6 giants - lvl5
8 Wb - lvl5
10 hogs - lvl3
40 Archers - lvl5
The rest wizards -lvl5

2 Rage and 1 heal.

Use giants to take brute force, then spam wb to clear path to center, followed by hogs to clear defense on your attack side. Since you now have no defense to worry about near the th, you can go ahead and throw in your archers and wizards to grab the th/50%. Don't forget to use a few archers to clear the outside buildings, other wise your wizards will have pekka syndrome.

Recently trophy pushed, and it proved wonderful strategy, 2 stars typically.

Seems interesting. Did you use every spell in each battle? What about your king? What kind of bases did you attack? And how did you deploy the giants, because I am not very good with them; not much experience.

TH7 in C1- around 2543. Sniping gets incredibly tough as it progresses, but I only hit a brick wall 2500 +. How long are you searching? Maybe use less drags to pick up the one star? Tbh, barch still seems like your best bet. Add a few minions too.

Sometimes I only have to search for a couple minutes, sometimes like half an hour. And I already use 2 minions in my barch.

Here's a few options:

1) One way to fix this is careful observation of elixir available in your raids. If you wish to use Mass Dragons, you need to use it on high elixir bases. Not necessarily breaking even, but a high amount of elixir. Yes, there will be a significant increase in searching time with this option, but it's almost a necessary evil when using the Mass Dragons strategy.

2) Switch to Balloonion and go for 50% (and occasionally the 2 star) raids. This is a significant drop in army cost (yes, level 5 loons will work but you need to be very, very precise). Still, you must monitor your elixir intake on raids closely.

3) My clan mate who was just in Champs was talking about his strategy for keeping elixir high, which is for every long push of just trophy focus, he would take a couple raids and go for the win, but prioritize the elixir intake as well (resulting in a higher search time for elixir-prioritized raids, but still able to gain some trophies and keep elixir intake high.

My TH is already cornered surrounded by 2 layers of decorations. I already use wall breakers in barch, I've used them ever since I started this army comp. And I'm terrible with giants, and I've tried it before and I failed. But yeah, I could switch back and forth.

So now I'm in Crystal 1, and I realized that I have enough elixir to last me the hunt. SO right now I have 2533 trophies and it's like nearly impossible to find a base to raid. Almost everybody is like a TH10 with infernos. I said I had 6M gold, but I spent 4M on mini bombs cuz I didn't know that now the lvl 5 were available for TH8 cuz of the update until my clanmate told me. I thought I would be fine with 2M, but I'm already down to 1.3M and it's really hard to find a base. Any help? Thanks! And I'm still using mass drags.

I personally have not been in your situation. This is more philosophical advice:

Congratulations on your acheivement, even if it is not your ultimate goal. Take it one raid at a time. I personally think you will need to think of a new army comp that can battle back these infernos, instead of nexting them. I know with town hall 8 troops that will be hard, but maybe some sigh level players can give you advice!

Transition to Balloonion raiding, prob around 24-28 Loons and rest Minions. We're about to start a push and I plan to use balloonion the whole way up (shooting for Champs!).

Check out ClashOn's videos on youtube for some great balloonion raiding (username is AFTERLIFE on the forums) he's currently pushing to get in the top 200 as a TH9 using balloonion.

maybe it could be hard... but if you found lot of th10 and almost solely that.. try GoWiPe

but be sure other defense are low lvl.. and inferno centralized... you don't want them to fry your troops before they did something... don't lure cc since they will lure your troops Inside the base...

i feel your pain.. my max is something about 2513... so i can't help more...

I am, but the TH9s are too hard and I'm raiding every TH8 and below I find, which isn't very often.

i just started to use gowipe like this week... using lvl1 golem and lvl1 pekkas..

2 of each.. 9 wb... 18wiz... 2rage 2 heal

not too hard to get into it.. just remember to clear to side of building outside to let the pekka go right into the middle... the rage will do the job with wiz and pekka rushing into the core killing cc troops and getting them in the action... i 2 starred a th9 and 3 starred a th10 already.... (ok premmie th10 without inferno but give me the credit) the th9 was pretty well developped tho... and not much more than 50% but hey... 2 star is two star.. it got me 22 cups and some loot wich is nice
