taking out splash damage defence is no problem at all....
A WT will have to be exposed or not effective...barbs trickled in singley a cluster of archers behind take care of that
A mortar only shoots every 5 seconds...nough said
and
there's always the option of a giant or two as meat shields
or the odd wb as door opener
BArch is extremely effective.
Have Fun

One of the easiest and best strategies; For more info click here to view an article I wrote about Barch.

Barch and Bam are the most efficient methods of farming standard loot. They are quick and flexible, but they do take a little practice to use properly.
Example. If a lot of splash DMG is on the perimeter of a base and you are trying to hit collectors, stagger your barb deployment and don't clump them all on one structure. Use 2-3 barbs to distract defenses while your archers or minions deliver the dps.

Very, you'd be surprised, it's almost as effective as BAM. You really just need to get the hang of it (took me a few days). Same with BAM, it's a little different to use but I found the transition hard but it really pays off (this transition took me about a week actually). So if I were you I'd pass BArch and go straight to BAM (BArch with 30 Minions tagging along).

Love to barch when farming. Here is a video of the strategy for farming in gold with barch.

Actually, I saw an anti-barch base. Worked rather well. It was a narrow vertical line with mortars and large high HP objects to stop the archers. The walls lined the archers up in two points, the gold/elixir stopped them there, and the mortars/archers finished them off. The simple solution was to not use barch, the base was easily mopped up by giants which ignored the high HP meatshields and put the damage where it needed to be.If barbs were dumped in anywhere, they were stopped by the town hall, clan castle, two elixirs, or two golds. So the barbs would always stop. As for the archers... same. They would get one defense target then start pouring it on something with high HP. It was a low level base, but highly effective at that level. Barch was stopped pretty effectively. (Hog riders, giants, or gowiwi can crush it, it's only effective against barch.
Correction: anti barch clan war base.
