    advice for anti-snipe

Yo fellow fully evolved clashers! I am a major time sniper since I am struggling to float in the upper crystal league as a rookie TH7 and I find this technique really effective against wannabe snipers in HL leagues, as even I have gotten tricked by this technique to the point where I unnecessarily drop excess troops on an easy TH or sorrowfully ambushed near the TH.

What do you do? well, you leave a distance between your corner TH and your main base to the extent that you can fit 1~2 teslas/ HL bombs / Aerial mines in the blank spaces. This will clearly castigate any wannabe snipers who attack corner TH on 1st sight.

You can also opt to leave that blank space alone, which serves as an excellent bluff to experienced snipers, as they would scared away due to low confidence in a bloodbath against HL teslas.

If there are better bluff/ambush techniques than mine, feel free to post below.

What I don't understand is that you call any TH7 in crystal or a TH sniper a wannabe, even though you are that yourself.

Anyway, on topic, when I could be bothered I had double layered detached walls one space away from the TH so barbs would bang on walls without help from wb, while the ranged troops go around (except AQ) and get killed off by teslas, bombs and spring traps. Attacked a guy with this technique with my full army and lost.

This thread is for certain mostly evolved farmers who get irated over underdogs like me who snipe their TH. The mental sensation doesn't feel that cool occasionally. I have actually attempted TH9's with a time-based minigon formation, and it works out pretty good (45~48% damage + 5~10% final minion pickoffs)

This is just my thought process if I'm townhall sniping.
Check for splash towers in range of townhall.
    - Multi inferno? Next
    - Level 6+ Wizard Tower? Next
    - Mortar/low level wizard tower? Proceed with caution.
    - Nothing? Proceed

    Check positioning of townhall.
    - In corner? Proceed
    - Close to base, but no splash? Proceed
    - First layer of base, no splash? Proceed
    - Outlying buildings acting as a buffer? Proceed with caution.

    Disarming traps.
    - Drop one troop to start hitting the town hall. If it is on the extreme corner, an archer can be dropped to not trigger any teslas, even if they are right next to the townhall.
    - Tesla pop? Drop more troops slowly to disarm any potential traps and then use multi fingers to easily overwhelm the teslas.

Last step, if they decided to trap the townhall, snipe them, lightning their dark elixir, break their collectors, set off obvious traps etc. Otherwise, move on. Basically, if there are no splash towers, even 4 max teslas are nowhere near enough if you drop 50+ barch.

Why proceed if you think it's a trap? Is it worth having to deploy a large portion of your army for a few trophies and no loot?

This got me a few times on my road to crystal at town hall 3. I thought archers would go for town hall but they actually go for the buildings beside town hall

Honestly... if you hate having your TH sniped and want to prevent it just don't have your TH outside your base to begin with. There is no 100% way to prevent a snipe with your TH outside...

Thanks to kart for the sig!

When I'm sniping, and all the telsas pops up, I won't hold back my troops to just sniping. I will go for a 2 stars.
