This ideas looks very interesting. Quite do-able. It would be long, and a bit complicated, probably it should be reserved for high level people / clans.

Maybe if qulifying clans could select 10 representatives, and the tournaments were all 10x10?

Everyone in the tournament should be able to see every battle. Indeed, just let everyone see every battle.

good idea , but I think it can't work and here is why:
1)how long would it take for supercell to match 16clans like a whole day? Two days?
2)with just clanwars there already a lot of mismatches.
imagine how this would be with 16 clans...
The range between the best clan and the worsth would be to big ..

Online poker plays both normal and turbo games....if your clan is "casual" about wars then one a week would work, but if your clan is "hyper active" in the war department then back to back works, leaders could choose... And instead of loot bonus for overall win maybe give gems to the clan otherwise superb idea

Still hoping for this to become a feature. I'll be as interested in the game as I was when clan wars first came out if this is added!

I would do this, but a reward *COUGH* GEMS *COUGH* would need to be in it. Also clans with the same level should fiht clans the same level.

Couple points:

The time is WAY too long in the tournament, especially given how many players can leave clans and come back at any time.. If you have a meltdown or something over a month you could be hosed. Anyway, if I were to implement it, I would have it be an opt in/opt out type thing that always starts at the same time, and each tournament would last a week. Basically, you'd opt into the tournament on Friday (whether you're in a war or not doesn't matter, see timeline idea). Everyone would opt into the tournament with 30 players, because multiples of 5s between 10-50 is just way too many possibilities and would really screw up matchmaking. Then, Supercell is going to add up the offensive and defensive rankings of the 30 selected players at, say, midnight on Saturday morning, and then go down the list in terms of strengths from top to bottom.. weighting the top more heavily than the bottom so people don't manipulate matchmaking with low TH4s whose attacks aren't needed to increase their odds of victory. Some formula similar to what they use now, but obviously it'd have to be modified. Anyway, you have two days to prepare and get to see the bases of all of the bases in your bracket during prep day. The CC troops you insert would stay for the duration of the tournament, and of course you will not be able to see the attacks done on your opposition in later rounds. Anyway, round of 16 on Monday, round of 8 on Tuesday, round of 4 on wednesday, and then one last prep day on Thursday for the finals, and then the finals on Friday. Once you're eliminated, you're able to do regular wars, and all clans who have opted in can finish their war on the tournament prep day.
