Pie your right. But people are new to the forum everyday. I dont think that epic Chris needs to be supercells spokesmen. Myself and almost everyone on this forum knows its all about the $$$ for supercell. It is still nice that we can post ideas that is not all about the $$$. Epic Chris can just post if he think everyone is wrong.

When was the last time you saw a Supercell Spokesperson response to ANY general thread?

Never, usually the only time a Moderator, who is not technically an employee of Supercell, may chime in but usually it's to lock a thread.

So if it weren't for users like Epic Chris, and I do it many times myself, you wouldn't have responses. You'll have threads full of "Oh yea great idea!" "Fantastic!" "I want that so bad!" and that's it. There'd be no discussion. Criticism does build better ideas.

However, this idea is very basic and to the level that has been ruled out. So no matter how good of idea it is, no matter how crucial of constructive criticism is given, it's ruled out for a reason. Some regulars are willing to explain it, but we've explained it in detail so many times many do become a bit jaded.

Yes we do, the ideas in the Ruled Out thread are ones specifically ruled out by a member of Supercell's development team. We know for a fact that they will not implement anything in the Ruled Out section any time soon. They may revisit the idea in the future, but as of TODAY, they WILL NOT DO IT.

My point is that it's not his "job" to tell everyone on the forum what supercell will and won't do.

As I said, when's the last time you had a Supercell Employee go into a forum thread to say "We won't do this". If they have, it's been a while and very rare. So if people post Ruled Out ideas, if regular forum veterans don't mention it, who will?

YoungGuns, you need to stop and think about what you are posting.

EpicChris and people alike are doing the forums a favor and keeping it clean and clear of ruled out ideas, so that good ideas will not get lost amongst the clutter of ruled out, repeated ideas.

He is not insulting these people, he is educating them so that they might read the sticky threads to learn what ideas are ruled out and maybe to use the search function before posting more ideas that add clutter to this forum.

If new members stopped and actually read the "READ BEORE POSTING" thread and had the courtesy to do a search before posting their idea, we would have a lot more positive posts. But if you think about it, only so many ideas can truly be good ones, otherwise SC would have already thought of it and/or implemented it. So naturally, there will be more bad than good ideas.

People don't need to be babied, when an idea is not good they should be told the truth in an appropriate manner, like EpicChris always does.

You need to learn what a troll is...

He's only commenting that this is two things.
1) Already possible, just bu the time when it's as many gems as you want, tada boosted builder
2) It's ruled out, upgrading/boosting/doubling builders is on SuperCell's "We won't do this" list

If new posters would actually read previous posts or the PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING stickied thread, maybe people wouldn't have to hate on their ideas.

(It would be nice to have a few more mods though to close so of the rubbish that gets posted)

first of all, if you cared to read the "READ BEFORE POSTING" sticky thread, you would have known that Supercell has actually implemented tons of ideas suggested in this here exact forum. Let me take an exerpt from that thread and post it here so you don't have to do any extra clicking:

Your suggestions do make a difference!
The developers and moderators read every idea thread. These ideas are discussed and reported frequently within the staff and moderator circle. Some are interesting enough to be added to short-term to-do lists, some to long-term lists, some simply monitored to see if it fits a direction they want to go, and some are ruled out due to negatives overriding the positives or if they don't fit in the direction they want (or secretly can't say) the game is headed. YOUR direct input has led to numerous in-game changes such as:

* Increase text space on leader messages
* CW Enhancements: Separate war base layout, numbered villages, notice who started war, dismiss war CC troops

as you can see, that's a pretty long list of ideas suggested from fellow forum readers like us that got implemented into the game (yes, Supercell listened to our suggestions).

ACTUALLY, we inform people when their idea is officially RULED OUT by Supercell. It's not even a matter of whether it is a good idea or bad idea, if it is RULED OUT, the point is moot, so we are simply telling these people "save your breath, SC already heard of this idea and has decided not to implement it into the game".

It's not a matter of OUR opinions, it's a matter of FACT given by a Supercell representative. So get your facts straight.

But it's not to offend anyone, it's to help stir the brainstorming brew and keep the forums clear so when the Supercell Devs come to look, they will have a nice, neat organized forum of ideas that have been properly policed by the "veterans". Great job guys! Your sacrifice is inspiring.

Offending may happen as a side effect, when people respond back rudely or arrogantly to what we are simply stating as a fact. If you play nice, we play nice. Simple. And yes, we do go out of our way to try to tidy up this place. A job we wouldn't have to do if new members didn't make a mess in the first place and simply read the "READ BEFORE POSTING" sticky and the other stickies up there. Oh, and used the search function.

my posts has nothing to do with geming builders. It has to do with epic Chris tell everyone what is wrong and right on this forum. If someone post something that has been ruled out just don't respond to. I fill that just because u have 2,000 posts you not need to try to run the forum.

I have never claimed to be a spokesperson for supercell.

Lol I joined the forums yesterday, I know what you mean. But still, I have nothing against EpicChris, he actually pretty cool, but what he says is not always fact. Forums are here to state you opinion, and he does just that.


If you had a good idea, but I thought part of it needed improvement, I would say so. It may seem rude but it isn't, hes posting to make ideas better.

Supercell will not reach new heights with me running the forums, as I am not running the forums. Also, rules werelaced to be enforced. Obviously I'm going to report people if they break them.
